With the individual side of the state wrestling tournament getting started today, who should we be looking at?

Obviously, I'll be watching to see how Broderson does, but does anyone know who else we have/are recruiting?

Does anyone know what happened to Greg Hagan of Dowling? I see he didn't even compete in districts. He is a Indiana commit so nothing to do with Iowa State, I was just curious.

Wasn't he the one that got kicked off the team a couple weeks ago? I never looked into the reason, but I think Tong Hager of IaWrestle had something written up about it

Sorry to crash this thread but anyone heading back up 35 then west on 20 please be careful. Hwy 20 varies from 100% clear to 100% snow and ice covered. 4 cars in the ditch between 35 and F.D.

Hope your wrestlers did well and safe travels back.

Got out at 4:30. Interstate was good but 18 was nasty.

Wow Mason City junior Cullan Schriever had to injury default out of his semifinal match, ending his quest for 4 state titles. What a shame. Kid is really good.

He broke a bone in his foot or something in January right? Reoccurrence? That sucks. I don't have a dog in the hunt but that's no way for a potential 4 timer to go down.

Was he taken down hard on to it? Twisted into it? Or what happened? Can't see semis on track just yet.

Watched an interview with him after and he said it first kinda popped out in the quarters but he was able to get it back in himself. He could feel it popping out again in the semis and was trying to get it back in himself but then it fully popped out. Not a big wrestling guy but I like following the state tournament a little bit as my Iowan duty. Feel terrible for the kid and he seems like a good kid (even though he’s gonna be a Hawk)

I watched the quarters on track. Saw him go out of bounds and injury mentioned. Didn't take much time and it was with like 10 seconds so he just covered. Kid has been on an injury tear lately. He is a light 120 it seems also. Will need to work to be a regular sized 125 by college time. He definitely is more a 113 by looking at him.

If he's only a junior, he was going for #3, correct? Everyone is making it sound like he was going for his 4th title this year.
