I guess if you are reading this, you are already a Cyclones WBB fan, but for all of us, stop and think for a minute. We are seeing something very special right now, and that is a senior WBB player who is currently 4th in all time scoring and could very well end up higher yet. She has some excellent talent around her in Scott, Middleton, Burkhall, Wise and Joens. This is also a very special team due to its chemistry. In other words, if you don't take every chance you can to see this team play, you are missing out on something that may not be repeated for many years if not decades.

Yes, I am very high on the Cyclones next year with Joens, Wise and Scott as potential stars, so our future is bright.

But I don't care how busy I am, how sick I am, how bad the weather is, I will take every opportunity to watch this team play - because the women this year are very special.

Well, it is Groundhog Day!

The good deja vu!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This team's offensive chops are off the charts for ISU teams and the overall point average may challenge those of the best Sister teams in the past.

Had to look it up per the Record Book on Cyclones.com...

Points per game for a Season Record: 79.9 Points
Points per game for the 2019 Season so far: 82.0 (excluding today's game)

Team is incredibly hot from the field in conference play.

Sustained through 10 games so far at:

40% 3pt (31% in NC)
46% FG (same 46% in NC)
84% FT (73% NC)

Scott is averaging 16 pt/gm and Bridgett is 24 pt/gm in conference. Joens has been steady (with some ups and downs) and Wise and Middleton are trending up the last few weeks.

Watched The Sisters destroy WV tonight. They played great ball; this team is selfless. Bridget is our rock star but she seemed as excited about an assist as with a score. But when she saw the chance, she took it. Scott is special and Joens will be too. As I have said above, better watch this team, because it may be once a decade type of team.

But I was again disappointed in the attendance. Maybe mens and womens on the same day is a problem, but the student section was virtually empty. How can this be?

There are only 3 more home games....

It's always that way. If there isn't some sort of giveaway/prizes, the pep band outnumbers the rest of the students by a 3:1 ratio.
I made a comment on Twitter that the students were missing from the women's games (including the volleyball games) while having ranked teams & success over the years... oh boy... you would have thought that I said ALL Cyclone fans were terrible. I understand that the Twister Sisters get an amazing attendance ~ but what I said was that, again, the students were missing. After the Texas Tech game, you could tell that the ladies were so pumped to have the students there cheering them on (yes, it was a great giveaway)... I just wish that the students could see how much it means to our ladies for their support! I get frustrated when everyone says Iowa State has the best student section, and they do, but only for the men.

After the TCU game, Bridget is proving again to be that very special player; she scored almost half our points - not enough for a win but pretty darn impressive. She is showing that she will assist when that is working, but if she needs to carry the team, she will do that - even with the other team blanketing her. Now that the Sisters have seen what a stifling defense looks like, I am expecting them to adjust and get back in the win column. Because this team has character and a team mentality - a real pleasure to watch.
