How cool is that? Best of luck to them both.

I noticed no Hoklowns have been invited. Not surprised.

Excellent. Both wonderful young men and am thankful they'll have this additional exposure.

I hope that is true but I would have thought their 2 tight ends would have been invited unless they both declined to avoid being found out to be frauds.

I would be shocked if both of the Iowa TE's and Nelson are not invited. I hate the squawks, but I have read the league has a very high opinion of the kids that come out of their program. Their kids may not be flashy but they are very fundamentally sound, and fact goes a long way in the NFL.

Yeah, I'm thinking that ISU will have three invited players - Butler, Montgomery, and Peavy.

At the risk of turning this into an ISR pissing match, I expect Iowa to have at least four - Fant, Hockenson, Nelson, and Hooker. It is what it is.

Say what you will about them, but Iowa seems to churn out NFL TE's on a consistent basis.

Dallas Clark & George Kittle for starters. Kirk's tight end fetish has produced a few gems.

Can’t see Peavy getting invited but maybe his accolades will be just enough.

I was not ripping on Iowa or the kids they send to the league. They do a very good job of getting kids into the league or at least in camp. I would rip on them about the fact with all the talent that they have produced, they do not seem to do a whole lot with it. They play in the weakest division in P 5 football, and the non conference schedule is a joke. I would switch places with Iowa in a New York minute for that schedule, and the money that comes along with it.
I have said for years, ISU would thrive in the Big 10, but Iowa will make sure the league never gives us that chance.

How, when you have a player like Fant, do you not put him in the slot and let him go to work? Half the time he was not even in the game.

Moeaki too. It's too bad he's had the injury problems. (Sorry, I know he's a Hawk, but I had to plug the local kid.)

Fiedorowitz was another pretty good one who had to retire early due to concussion issues. And it's not just TEs. Ferentz has consistently done a good job of sending guys to the NFL; it's one of his best recruiting tools. I don't know where they rank in terms of programs with former players currently on an NFL roster but I'd think it's pretty respectable.

Yeah, I imagine he will shoot up the draft boards. May be the second WR taken after Metcalf. Early/mid second round?

Just depends. Right now there's a cluster of guys all kind of neck and neck. Combine tests and predraft workouts will create separation. I've heard Deebo Samuel had himself a very good week at the Senior Bowl and was just about uncover-able in practice.
