I think the 'Clones finish second to KU, but they'll win the conference tourney, and get a top 5 seed in the Big Dance.

Mississippi played a very boom-or-bust defense.

They ran a 1-3-1 trap that phased into a 2-3 zone much of the time.

It generated a fair share of turnovers, but it also gave us a lot of open looks and/or one-on-one match-ups with somebody driving or rolling to the basket.

At some level, a missed shot an a turnover are the same thing, but we were making most of our shots, so the good shooting made up for the high degree of turnovers.

Our adjusted offensive rating for the game was 132.3 against Mississippi. That was one of the better ones we have had this season, actually...

1. 135.9 San Diego State
2. 132.3 Mississippi
3. 130.8 Eastern Illinois
4. 129.3 Illinois
5. 124.5 Kansas (at home)

Great game and great win! However, who was that GRAY team? Man, that was hard to watch without being able to instantly focus on the Cardinal, Gold and White Cyclone Uniforms. One of the points of a Big Xii-SEC Challenge is to be able to expand the brand, and ISU did not do that by wearing unrecognizable uniforms in a foreign land. Just my onion.

Not quite, but I do know that Iowa State's colors are Cardinal, Gold and White. Besides that, if ISU wants to wear gray uniforms, they should do it at home - not on the road in a different part of the country trying to expand their brand. GRAY is NOT Iowa State's BRAND. It is generic and will be forgotten yesterday. Moreover, it was difficult for me - an Iowa State fan to recognize the team, let alone any of the Ole Miss fans watching Iowa State for the first time. :)

I am all for alternate uniforms and I like our grays. But between our grays, Ole Miss baby blues, yesterday's game was an eyesore
