Time for the NCAA to help KU?

While going through the KU forums, they keep mentioning that they have petitioned the NCAA last Thursday(1/17) to let Silvio DeSousa suit up and play now. Isn't about time for the NCAA to help poor ol' KU. I mean, it was only $2500 or $25000 that is in question.

I think NCAA has a new play up their sleeve.

We will win by 2. They will reinstate him on Tuesday and rule that he would have been at least a 3 pt difference in the game and give the game to KU.

This is a chance for the NCAA to make a small stand against pay for play. I like the idea of them saying the athletes can be eligible for another school next year. That would eliminate the argument of punishing the kid further and put the emphasis of the punishment on the school that broke the rules.

If the NCAA is smart, they’ll back away from KU.

That said, the NCAA isn’t smart, so they’ll probably give Mario Chalmers one more game of eligibility and let him play tomorrow.
