So the last year or so ago I started really getting into sour beers. My favorite is probably Fair State Roselle, but really I haven’t come across more than one or two that I didn’t actually like, although they’re not incredibly easy to find. Problem is, I’m moving away from Minneapolis and I don’t think I’ll be able to fine Fair State anymore. So what are some of your favorite sour beers and/or what are some more national brands that would be easier to find?

Where are you moving to? A lot of breweries make good sours. In Iowa Exile makes some good sours. Hey have their staple "beatnik sour" and usually rotate different flavored sours throughout the year.

Sounds even more like socialism if you replace the “me” in that sentence with Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro, all one of the Kim family, Chavez, and a whole host of imitators.

:)

Missed you buddy. Already reached out to the DC alumni association about game watches. Fully expect you to be there.

Also, figure out some good sour beers they have in that area.

We traveled to new england 4 years ago and had several people told us we had to go to Algadash Brewing.

We went and this was our first good experience with sours and saisons. Not sure how far they distribute but worth checking out.

Lactobac is where it's at.

Did you ever try Pentagram from Surly. I really like that one when I can find it. Not going to help when you move...

I haven't found any national brands that are that great.

I had that when I went to the brewery. Harder to find outside of there even in Minneapolis, but that was some solid stuff.

It's not on draft anywhere that I'm aware of. You can usually get bottles of it at the brewery. They also do can it as part of a 12oz 4pk. You only get two of the Lactobac in the 4pk and the other two are BFDP which is also very good. I believe they call it a Pucker Pack. I've found it at multiple liquor stores.

I like a lot of different beers, from oatmeal stouts to spicy IPAs. But I can not stand sours, and have tried a few. Tastes like poison, like it's gone bad. To me, it just isn't beer.

But to each their own...
