Am I crazy or were we ranked in like 2012 at some point? I swear we were ranked 24th or 25th for a week or two. Possibly after whooping up on ranked TCU?

Depends on the poll. AP (which is what the media in general refers to), probably not since 2005. Coaches poll (which is ESPN's baby), we were ranked in 2012.

Pretty sure that was the first or second week of BCS rankings.

We have become the sympathetic favorite of the whole country since the OU game. Because of that, more national personalities have been watching our games than they have in a long time. You can see that on Twitter.

The only reason there's a chance we aren't ranked is because there a lot of idiots that vote. However, how dumb would you have to be to not vote for a 5-2 team with a win AT Oklahoma and no bad losses. Looking at the current top 25, it's hard to argue that we don't have a better resume than 5 of those teams at the very least.

I mean, I totally agree Iowa State should be ranked. I'm not saying they aren't deserving. Hell, as a homer, they've got more impressive resumes than teams like Michigan, Auburn, Stanford, and all that, and I don't disagree. However, if none of those 'low' top-25 teams lose today, I doubt that a win over a 4-3 TT vaults us above a 5-2 SEC squad. That being said, I'll happily eat my crow if they all win and we still crack the top 25!

You have to admit our resume looks better than pretty much anyone 15-25, but that doesn't mean anyone voting cares. It always has been a popularity/beauty contest, so we will see.
