    Are you referring to recruiting on the AAU circuit generally, or hiring AAU coaches to staff positions? The former approach is what almost all successful NCAA programs do. The latter is an occasional approach for some that doesn't always work out so well.

    Obviously there aren't a lot of high major hoops prospects coming out of Iowa every year, but it really helps if an in-state program can land its share of the few. It puts a lot of pressure on any staff to have to rely almost exclusively on recruiting out of state.

    I'm still worried about losing Monte to the NBA after this season. He's having a great year, and probably won't have as many finishers to pass to next season. Has he given any hints about whether he'll stay or go?
