How about what shows you hate for comedy probably reveal for your interests.

Seinfeld is a ******* terrible, terrible, bad show.

I fought this once in college years during a party. My roommate's brother came back for in the army overseas and fought about the thoughts of Seinfeld and he put me into a chokehold until I'd say Seinfeld was great. Well, his sleeper hold made me passed out.

Seinfeld Sucks.

There I said it.
I have a list of shows I think are awful that have been wildly popular.

Big Bang Theory
Everybody Loves Raymond
King of the Hill
Two and a Half Men
King of Queens

Almost any CBS sitcom where a bigger dumb white guy is married to a beautiful woman.

Hey, I maybe kinda sort of identify with the dad.
Honestly though, it's sort of the least objectionable compromise between my younger and older kids. And it's a whole lot better than any of the other kid's dreck that's out there.
My son started watching TV right after Paw Patrol started on Nickelodeon. I had lots of flashbacks to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers because it was the exact same show every time and that song sucked.

I only wish something like Bluey existed then....

Came real close to making my list. Great show that didn't get the praise it deserved.

My buddy and I had a little drinking game anytime obergruppenfeuhrer was said. I thought the show started excellent but hit the skids by season 3.

What are ten shows that more or less define your tastes that may also reveal your sense of humor or your interests.

In no order:

Arrested Development
VEEP
Happy Valley
Seinfeld
Succession
Six Feet Under
Parks and Rec
Planet Earth/Our Planet
Game of Thrones
Schitts Creek

This is a super-solid list. And this is hard. Mine are maybe:

Arrested Development
Parks & Rec
30 Rock
Succession
Severance
Dickinson
At Home with Amy Sedaris
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee
Better Call Saul
Community

There are a bunch of really close runners-up. Downton Abbey, The Crown, Freaks & Geeks, the Late Show with Letterman/Conan/Seth Meyers, early Scrubs, first season of Twin Peaks, Cheap Seats without Ron Parker, The State. If I want to zone out, House Hunters.

I could come up with more, but I kind of ebb and flow from watching different things.

Part growing up, part relatability

Wonder Years
Night Court
Seinfeld
Family Guy
How I met your Mother (liked it when it was on for a few seasons, aged terribly)
Master of None
Parks and Rec
The Office
The Simpsons (early seasons)
River Monsters

I beleive How I Met Your Mother was only intended to run for a few seasons with Victoria being the mother, but it became popular and they cashed in. The "bombshell" ending that was the least surprising letdown, was always the plan.

Yeah as soon as things feel forced I tend to bail and HIMYM started doing that.

Prior though I liked the mid-twenties themes etc.

The Office imo stared down the 'forced' issue at like season 4 even with Michael.

Band of Brothers
Mad Men
We Were Soldiers Once and Young

Peaky Blinders

And yup, that covers me pretty well I think.

In a few seasons I expect Landman to on this list.

Have you gone back and watched Twin Peaks?
I did a few years ago and my wife was like, this is corny AF. I still enjoyed it.

Probably 2008 or so is the last time I watched it! I had watched bits and pieces when I was super little, when it was out the first time. It was definitely corny, and several of the actors just chew the scenery, but it was still so David Lynch!
