I get around
Likely similar to how he transferred to a Prep School for his senior season of HS. The Valley bball team was stellar with or without him, so I don't think he really got to shine like he wanted.

I think your take is a really good one and probably pretty accurate. It would be significantly better for him to get some early playing time at a school like NT, then transfer to a bigger program as opposed to sitting on ISU's bench without any meaningful film to transfer out.
He could probably get a starting role right off the bat and lots of playing time at a school like Nebraska. Pad his stats and then transfer to a real school. (Just joking folks.....or maybe not):D

The Dirty Dodge
I doubt Dana wrote that headline for SI. He and Pratt do a decent job for The Messenger. That said, having grown up in the Dirty and now living in Iowa City, I can say Fort Dodge has some of the worst Hawkeye fans in the state—and most of them have never even been to Iowa City.

this is dumb but it’s not the kid’s fault and nobody should be dogging him.

Does anyone know the story behind Stinson jumping from Valley to a prep school in Ohio? I had never heard of the prep school. Was Stinson Jr. placed there by Robinson when he was at Cleveland State?

What's done is done. Best thing for the young man is to tear it up next year. If things work out and he is Big 12 ready, see what happens.

Good luck to him!

Agreed.

Went from the #49 recruit in this class back in 06/23 to # 207 currently.
It's crazy how that shakes out sometimes. Peter Jok was a top 5 kid his sophomore year, and there was talk he may end up being better than Harrison Barnes. By the time his senior year rolled around his only real big offer was from Iowa. To his credit he developed into a really good player.

Didn't Jok have a knee injury?
