Also, something interesting is that all Nil deals (Like paying someone 300k) are going to need to be approved by a third party. This is to make sure that Programs can't offer too much money for someone so fair market value. This could level the playing field but it could be a lot of shenanigans.
Is this supposed clearing house going to have to approve all deals? Or just ones that are from collectives that are outside of the school paying the athletes?

Deals affiliated with a booster, booster group or any entity deemed to be associated with the school are the only ones subject to the clearinghouse’s more rigorous fair market value standard.

So far the top teams who have made big moves:

Penn St - Welsh - don’t know that he moves the needle for them but that’s only because they have other hammers at 74/84. Welsh would have been a massive addition for about any other team.

Okie St - Swiderski, Facundo, Steen - Facundo/Swiderski should be BR/low AA caliber at minimum. Good pick ups for them.

Iowa - Bailey, Williams - big pick ups for them at weights of need. Also rumored to be in the running for Dean Peterson who has had big victories in the past.

Minnesota - Volk - adding an AA at a weight of need is big for them. They’ll have a tough lineup.

Ohio State - not completely confirmed but Chittum will be there. Only is a big pick up for them if Cannon goes 65 or Chittum uses RS.

Nebraska - said to be in the running for both Lachlan McNeil and Dean Peterson. Both would fill needs for them as they will have a very good lineup again.

Michigan - Ghadiali - I expect Michigan to land another transfer or two (McNeil?) and they will be an improved team in 2026 with Ghadiali coming in and a few guys returning (Ragusin from injury, mantanona coming in).

We are behind the 8 ball a bit here as a lot of the big pick ups are gone, obviously a lot can change and the elephant is AJ.

joey novak would be number 1. get the larkins out of ASU and maybe a good 184 to compete with bartelt and id say youd have a damn tough lineup. I think at 157 theres a chance kaleb larkin would give paniro a run for his money for the starting spot
I'd like to get the Larkins....if we don't land them and/or AJ it would take the wind out of the portal enthusiasm for me.

Tampering really doesn't exist. I think Iowa st likes 125 133 141 149 157 165 174 HWT. Needs are 184 197. Dean Rider for sure is a possibility but likes VA tech. Currently AJ and Cotton for 197. Elam will probably enter the portal at 197 but has been rumored to Iowa. Elam had multiple surgeries this season so not sure when he will be available.
Dean would be a decent pick up but we have not had great luck with 5th/6th year guys staying healthy. He did improve a lot from last season.

Cotton could improve a bunch as he’s young but that would be a let down of a portal haul.
