Jada Williams' shooting percentages last year weren't great, but it was a tale of two halves. She struggled a lot before the new year, shooting 41.8% on twos and 22.4% on threes in 2024. Once 2025 started, those went up to 45.9%/34.0% for a 48.4% effective FG%, which is similar to Emily Ryan and Arianna Jackson.

With no interest in AZ I watched them once this year, versus us. If she can have close to games like that for us we really should be Big 12 champs.

What does "growing belief" really mean? Is it, I don't have any factual $hit to go on, just feel it in my gut? Well, that happens all the time in social media, anyone can type anything. Though, I hope "his gut feeling" is correct.

It's being fueled by a guy with a stellar reputation in calling these just before an announcement. It's all fun and games at this point but when this guy drops a "hint" post it actually means something. Talking Skim and not the people reacting to him. He's the WBB scoopmaster.

With the extreme culture problems at Arizona I wouldn’t be shocked if that also contributed to her percentages.

Agree. What a strange dynamic in that WBB program.

It’s a good sign to me that she played better against Big 12 teams than in non-con. Great to have her for 2 years as well.

I have only watched a few clips of her, if she is quick and can dribble penetrate - that is all I care about.

I think with Jada being a really athletic point guard, that should help with our pace of play a little bit...I love Em but I think the athleticism part was the one thing she was lacking.

I think Jada, Kenzie, Kelsey (swap out for Syd??), Addy, and Audi is a great starting five

Other players to keep an eye on:
Teresa Seppälä (portal from Siena; 1 year left)
Rachael Rose (grad transfer from Wofford due to medical redshirt in 24-25; 1 year left)
Add Emily Robinson (portal from ORU; 2 years left) to that list.

With Hansford leaving, we're still at 13 players. We wouldn't need to add anyone else, but we're probably not done looking.

Hard to imagine AJ being left out. The plus side of this means better depth at guard with Jada, Kenzie, Kelsey, Syd and AJ all being experienced producers. Those not starting may be seen as just as valuable to come in with no drop off. Also have to remember Wilson and Tanke as well as Beaty being in the mix. Some folks are going to be gnashing their teeth if Beaty is the real deal (#1 player out of TN), Jada takes a starting spot and it forces a favorite to the bench…or deeper on the bench.
