Freddy has his hands full in Lincoln trying to remain relevant in the weakest Power Conference in college basketball. I am curious if Nebby men's basketball has as big of NIL budget as the women's volleyball team?

I've seen the B1G collectively ranked as 2nd behind the SEC on a few lists.

**I keep getting the 'laughing' deal like this isn't true. The ACC is by far the worst.

Are there other sources saying otherwise?

Is this a hypothetical wish? They play in their conference tournament championship today.
"Omaha will play St. Thomas in the tournament final Sunday night, but the Tommies are ineligible for the NCAA tournament while completing its transition to Division I. That means Omaha will receive the league's automatic bid no matter the result, because the Mavericks won the regular-season conference title."

The result of ESPN's SEC/B1G bias. B1G teams have been rising in the rankings, ala MSU, Wiscy, and Maryland by beating up on the Iowa's and other bottom feeders in the league. Case in point Wisconsin just lost at home to PSU (a conference tournament non qualifier) by 11.

I'm not referring to ESPN.

Either way they're not the worst. They're not as top heavy like the Big 12 with Houston but their good teams are very capable.

You may want to be careful when talking about teams getting beat by double digits to bad conference teams at home or bottom feeders.

I’m betting the chance they’re a 16 is higher than being a 15.

Dayton is also a possibility for them depending on other outcomes.

It's a fun tourney, but the Summit doesn't have the juice it had four or five years ago. UNO lost every single quad one and quad two game they played this year and are going to the big dance. Their NET rating is 170 which is higher than I might have guessed.

I thought they looked like a pretty tough 'bye' team when they played ISU.

Certainly didn't back down and had some speed on both ends.

ISU did hang a 30-burger on them though.

Jamie probably hopes that some of the buy game teams we play early on can put things together later in the year like this. A schedule that benefits you would have at least two games in the 100-200 range, but they are hard to get without agreeing to go on the road most of the time on a home and home.

They've actually rebranded themselves as University of Omaha but I might die of laughter if they become the first "Nebr University System" school to get a March Madness win....

On a related note, we played them in Hilton a few years ago so we should schedule an away with them. They play in a nice smaller arena with about 8K capacity. Would be great for us Cyclones in the Omaha area. It's in a nice new area with restaurants and bars too.
