Name another team we are competing with for a 3 that has losses as bad as Kansas St and Oklahoma State.

It wasn't just that we lost, we were throughly outplayed by 2 teams under .500.
True every team is going to have an off night and play poorly, but when you have the WV, KSU and OSU games where we basically do not show up and get blown out, its not a good sign. It's this that separates great teams from pretenders.

I was hoping we'd have a deeper rotation this year. Obviously that hasn't materialized.

How common is it for major-conference teams to play 9+ guys serious minutes? Is that a common thing? Just looking at some top teams this year, number of guys who average 6+ minutes per game and have missed no more than 10 games:

Auburn: 9
Duke: 10
Houston: 8
Tennessee: 8
Florida: 8
St Johns: 10
Alabama: 9
Michigan State: 10
Texas Tech: 8
Iowa State: 8
Clemson: 9
Wisconsin: 9
Maryland: 9

Obviously we don't have the depth of some of these teams.

Michigan State is interesting, no one averages more than 26 minutes, and they only have one player averaging more than 23 minutes.
and Izzo's team appars fresh and is surging just at the right time.

Excellent research.

As frustrating as the past 6-ish weeks have been, and some nagging tendencies (turnovers, offensive staleness, lead swings, inability to close) it's good have some perspective about whether there's trend of fading.

Another element that would require deeper dive, we're using strictly W-L without considering strength of opponent during the stretches. Not sure if that'd be favorable or not for this season's stretch vs. previous years.
OSU is awful and we should be able to beat KState and even BYU at home. Tough schedule no doubt. With some big wins this team has also had head scratching loses.

Doesn't matter if you don't win. Him not being able to consistently take the ball to the rim hurts the team imo.
Just pointing out a positive from the disappointment. Last night he only made one 3, so his other points came from driving and scoring or getting fouled and making fts. At least some of his 8 assists came when driving, maybe most. I'll have to go back and watch.

He doesn't seem to consistently go to the rim with authority. I'm talking about the season as a whole more than anything. I'd like him to draw more fouls. He's a really good PG but he's not on the level of like Monte Morris to me. If he was we would be on top of the conference.

Oh boy. You really got us.

Imagine being able to pay far more for athletes than 99% of other programs then gloating about the accomplishment. Bra. F*cking. Vo. Bravo.
