The guys didn't look tired in this game, so that's good. That issue/excuse is always puzzling to me. It's a long season for sure but other teams play and practice hard too and don't look "tired" in late Feb.

Chatfield also had a great game yesterday. Made some buckets yes but also in all his not-in-the-box-score stuff, really played well. Had to step up with the foul trouble for the other bigs.

Some answers to previous questions. A replay should be on ESPN +, the student sections were full all the way to the top, and I think the crowd got very loud especially at the appropriate times. Not many people are going to going nuts when you’re up 10-20 points. And wait I think they just called another foul.

There is “bashing” and there is having any ability to be objective. Sorry, but I’m not falling for the false dilemma here.
I know a vocal minority of this board needs something to complain about after a win, but have we really got as far as bashing CW? Get off his site if he's so awful.

I’m fine with him dunking on fans after a win if he would be a little more real and critical when things aren’t going good.
I actually agree with this. The Blum/Cw pod used to be can't miss for me, but my current favorite is the one the younger guys do. Much fresher takes and they don't spend half the episode pumping their sponsor or talking about NIL

He’s the only one repeatedly, consistently turning it over with reckless play that doesn’t fit what the rest of the team is trying to do.

Frankly he deserves no more than 10-15 minutes right now. Let him feel it out without repeatedly killing our momentum. And if he finds himself one of these games, you loosen the leash a little.

We cannot afford to let him try to play through it with heavy minutes at this time of the year. We are very bounceable in the tournament if the turnovers stay high.

I’m concerned that TJ will do the opposite of the aforementioned
Gilbert puts TJ in a tough spot. He's a guy who he has been able to depend on in the past, so you cling to some hope that the light can turn on for him again. He's also a guy playing his last handful of games as a college basketball player. The emotional war that has to wage can't be a fun one for TJ or Keshon for that matter.

Chat is playing like our best big down the stretch IMO

He sometimes tries to force too much, but for sure there are times when he gets hammered and no foul call.

There was a possession vs. UA (can't recall 1st half or 2nd half) he got fouled like 3 times within 10 seconds ... nothing. I thought, does he have to be punched in the face to get a foul?

Somebody has to be left out so that ~14 SEC teams can make the tourney.

Searched most of it. Mercy we have got to do some work on reducing our turnovers. It's not even facing tough D, it's almost all sloppy place and some really forced low chance passes.

This site published this article after the OSU loss:

No. 9 Iowa State goes stagnant in stunning 74-68 loss Tuesday at Oklahoma State

Which begins with:
Sloppy ball handling. Poor free-throw shooting. Spotty defense.

Add all of those unsavory elements up — and more — and No. 9 Iowa State’s resume-damaging 74-68 loss Tuesday at Oklahoma State took shape in stark and stunning form.

And CW and Blum Wednesday podcast titled:

Williams & Blum: Disaster in Stillwater, what’s next for Iowa State

Which to me still felt like an over reaction. This team has talent. Reg season title is off the table. I want the team from Maui to show up. If that means we’re the 5th seed in Big 12 tournament and get bounced in our first game, I don’t really care.

When has ISU ever done well with weight of expectations? Do you really feel confident that a 1-2 seed ISU team would do markedly better than a 3-4 seed?

I don’t. There’s auburn, Duke and everyone else and I’m not afraid of this squad facing either of those teams. IF they’re at full strength.

What do you want CW to do? Burn the whole thing down?

We also keep getting the ball poked away at a preposterously high rate, "go after the ball" is definitely in the scouting report for ISU.
