Annoying TV/Movie Tropes

What are some tropes that annoy you in tv and movies. Mine all fall into being not realistic at all. And I fully get sometimes you have to suspend belief and just go with it.

I hate when characters are driving and they’re like moving the steering wheel a ton making it look like they’re driving when in real life if anyone did that they’d be all over the road. That and the driver looking at the passenger in a conversation for long periods of time when their eyes aren’t on the road.

I also hate how phone calls never make sense. Meaning in a real conversation you’d have to pause and listen then respond. In tv and movies they’ll answer and respond when there’s no way the other person could have any chance to talk. That is a stupid one I get it because you have to move things along but it annoys the hell out of me. Ha.

Also just wounds in general. 99% of the time in real life if you get shot or stabbed etc you’d be done for but not for tv and movies. Just once I wanna see a main character get maimed and have a realistic end to them ha.

Stupid characters in horror movies. Like the 'goes upstairs to see what that sound was' type of stuff.

I recently saw some clips from a movie about two girls climbing a tower for a challenge and then disaster ensues.

It looked well made and super suspenseful, so credit there, but I refuse to watch it because the whole time I'd be thinking 'how about just don't climb the tower?'.

Stupidest thing IMO is non-overlapping dialogue. This is why 'Sex in the City' will always be the absolute worst garbage of a TV series in history. The dialogue is written like a bunch of one liners. So horrible and stupid. Have dialogue being delivered in a way that reflects the way people actually talk.

The dumb dad trope is all over commercials, but it's in TV shows, too. "Homer Simpson-ing."

Includes Al Bundy, Peter Griffin, Phil Dunphy, Ray Barone, Doug Heffernan, etc.

Constant action with no real point, shoot ‘em up gun fights, 100 unrealistic death escapes, etc. Basically over the top action just to have action when you know nothing will happen to the main characters - like what’s the point?

What bugs me is how the set can't match the physical architecture.
Jerry's apartment in Seinfeld can't align with the hallway.
That 70s Show basement can't align with the first floor.
Palm trees in the background in Halloween. I mean…Halloween is one of my favorite films, but I don’t think there are any palm trees in small town Illinois.

Here are my movie pet peeves…they were maybe cool the first time but have been done to death.

Bad guy is dominating a fight and throws good guy across the room instead of continuing to punch him. Good guy gets time to recover and gets back in the fight.

Driver is talking to passenger instead of watching the road. Something is in the road and they are forced to swerve off road and crash.

So many movies and TV shows violate these!

Also in teen slasher movies I’m now finding myself thinking ‘where in the hell are the adults and parents of these kids during all these killings. And why aren’t these kids more sad and busy going to their friends funerals?’

Not slashers but I surmised 30 years ago S.E. Hinton didn't like adults.

Good guy has to fight a whole team of bad guys, who all take him on one at a time.

I just watched a Valentine's Day action flick (that is set on Valentine's Day) that had characters outside in clearly hot weather, wearing warm weather clothes, but all the cars license plates were Wisconsin (assuming it's meant to be set there.) Idk about you but it's nearly always cold as t*ts in Wisconsin on February 14th.

Vacation setting, or just “regular life, Valentines Day?
