Nobody scored from 5:28 (Hawkins up Tech up by two) until 0:17 left (Williams to ice it)?
What were the Purple Kitties and the (are we black or red?) Tacos doing for five minutes of gametime?
You might want to sit this one out. Students come back Tuesday. Manhattan is 2+ hours away from KC- weeknight games not doable. Biggest snowfall in a century that hasn’t been plowed on side streets.
cycloneML, wasn't that snow about 5 days ago? Sure it been cold and it hasn't all melted, but life goes on. You can't use the snow and streets as an excuse this many days later. If KSU didn't have good attendance, it is because their program is in the dumpster, not because of the weather or lack of students.I wish there was a comp for Iowa State fans showing up to a game where there was a massive snowstorm and horrible road conditions. The funny thing is, there was, the students weren’t back, and the snowstorm happened that day, not a week prior!
Interesting. It’s almost like if the team doesn’t massively suck, fans will come out and brave the elements.

Minnesota is a pro sports state for the most part IMO, the collegiate hockey teams UofM UMD get pretty solid support if I remember correctly but they are both in the running for the frozen 4 most yrs.I think the campus location works against the Gophers. It’s not much of a college experience, in my opinion. And as far as cities go you’re not talking about Miami, LA, etc that may be more desirable.
The apathy is twofold. One is that the teams are not great. The other is that you’ve got Vikings, Wild, Twins, Wolves to compete with.

Damn, did Surly take a permaban? That's a name I hadn't thought of in a long time.Dude simps for K State more than Surly ever did
Holy cow you are on the wrong side of this battle.Move our games to Otumwa, IA and see how it goes

Sounds like the streets aren’t the only thing that needs plowed…You might want to sit this one out. Students come back Tuesday. Manhattan is 2+ hours away from KC- weeknight games not doable. Biggest snowfall in a century that hasn’t been plowed on side streets.
Fielding a higher quality team. That would be the main incentive for any coach to take a pay cut. What would be Fran's incentive to agree to a lower package? He's got Iowa by the balls. Go ahead and fire me, but you'll need to back up the brinks truck.
Can't tell if the Tech coach is straight up trolling....
