What i liked the most about Drakes win was that Hawkins actually had his best game (excluding 3/8 free throws). 15 pts, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and they still couldn't win at home. By the way, the Sturtz kid from Drake is fun to watch.
I enjoyed that he hit that three with 7 seconds left, only to have Drake hit the game winning three 4 seconds later. The brief optimism to be so soundly crushed was enjoyable.

Every single time people lose their mind about how much an Iowa State player is supposedly making Blum refutes the amount stated. I'm comfortable assuming the same thing is true at scale here

Ok, but if you can't differentiate between some CyFan poster saying "Rocco's getting $200,000" and Shams Charania, who again is a nationally recognized basketball reporter who has a long history or accurately reporting basketball related news, then I can't help you.

I have no doubt there is misinformation out there, but this just isn't that case. A guy like Shams doesn't report on it unless he's corroborated.

Way up there
McCollum is an amazing coach, I really hope he doesn't end up in the big 12.

The emotional swing of coming from down 20 , hitting a 3 that looked to seal the deal only to have Drake hit the game winner was a better ending than I could've imagined. That program and their fans deserve it all.

I think the Presidents and Chatfield should be able to hold their own against Mr. $2 million

Yeah I was rooting like crazy for Drake. Now that we don't play them anymore, they're kind of my adopted second team. I am really glad we faced Wazzu and not Drake last March.

I read somewhere that it counted as a home game for KSU, but at least on ESPN's standings it's being categorized as a neutral-site loss, their only home loss so far is the LSU debacle.

It’s funny seeing these posts when not so long ago there were many on here on love with him and defending Tang no matter what and saying he’s a great guy and coach. He is and always has been a piece of ****.
He started showing his ass on a whole different level last year.

Last night was really the first time I've watch KSU play this season, and it was striking to me how... unathletic they looked. Lanky, not a ton of hustle, and didn't look tremendously well-conditioned against "inferior" talent. Am I insane, or did my eyes serve me well?

Is he though? His team has resolve, but their offensive gameplan was pretty suspect. It felt like year 1 TJ when the post would continually have the ball up top. He refused to adjust to anything else. Maybe they were just trying to lengthen possessions and run out the clock, but it was difficult to watch.
