OK people, Bill sat Addy while we were building a 10 point lead. Iowa hit 2 3 pointers, he brought her back in and then they abused her 2 times in a row becuase she didn't want to get the cheap foul too early. With the stupid ass way the officials were calling tonight, there was not reason to bring her back in before the final 10 minutes. Don't act like the situation didn't make sense at the time.

Until other players step up and score this team is cooked. Audi can get her 30 but then where does the rest of the scoring come from.

It really doesn’t appear some of the gals are overly willing to shoot. Feel like we passed up some opportunities in order to make a high risk lob pass to the post. Junior high offense for awhile there.

To be fair. Much of Addy sitting was a coaches decision. Players play with 3 fouls all the time. Bill trying to be cute. Get your best players out there for the most minutes.

it is kinda like if she fouls out she sits but she may have had an impact on the game so let her play a little more. that is just my thinking

Really tough loss. Turnovers and Free Throws. 16 turnovers From Ryan, Brown and Crooks, 8 missed free throws From Ryan and Crooks. Yet 53 points by Ryan, Brown and Crooks. Better everything than the Hawks but Turnovers and Free Throws. Refs horrible also, was purs to take, we faultered and lost. To many possessions given up by just bad turnovers.

Really liked the Wilson, Tanke, Hansford, Jackson and Crooks lineup, they built that 10 pt lead. Ball moved better getting some open threes, lack of a few calls got that game close again then the 4th quarter happened. Would like to see more of that lineup.

UCONN game might be tough to watch, hopefully I am wrong.

Tough night to be a Cyclone.

Here’s a crazy thought. We could have had a bigger lead had our best all around player played.

I’ve watched a ton of college basketball and I can’t ever remember another coach sitting a starter a full 3rd quarter, and there’s probably a reason for that. It’s because it’s idiotic. And it proved itself out because she never got back in rhythm

Hard not to feel like this one was on the coaching staff. We don't really seem to have much of a plan offensively. I need to go back and watch again, but it seemed like Iowa reversed the floor on offense at least six times for every time we did it once.

If Bill is going to force-feeding Audi the ball on offense, we could at least do it in a way that makes sense by allowing her to re-post and try to get better positioning or different spots on the floor with simple ball reversals. The formula seems so simple with Audi in the middle, surrounded by shooters who are ready to fire on kick-outs, but we just can't figure it out. It's just so frustrating because it seems like we're so close. We even shot well from three, but everyone seemed scared to shoot. UGH!

The 3’s we hit were on rare possessions where we actually ran a little motion. It’s hard to get good looks when you run a 4 out offense with zero motion or cutters because we are just trying to force it inside.

This isn't the 80's. Play the player with 3 fouls. Know the game.

Bill played her with 2 fouls early in the 2nd when she picked up the 3rd. And then benched her almost the entire 3rd with 3 fouls. Just really weird decision making.

We have terrible passing skills and are weak with the ball. We dribble to spots instead of having an intent of where to go and we are not as fast as the other teams. That is what kills us most of the time. I have no idea how you get to this level and don't know how to place a pass so someone doesn't even have to move to steal it. Very frustrating. If your man hasn't gotten position, don't be a robot and throw it to them anyway. Audi posts pretty well, but she can't hold them on her hip forever.

All you have to do is pressure us and let us hand you the ball. Frustrating.

Emily was absolutely careless with really weak passes but much of that is Bill's offense of everyone standing and try to force it down low to Audi. If Addy Brown played in another system she would be a force. We run nothing to isolate her and absolutely no cutting/back screening or motion on offense. Lack of athletic defenders really cost us at the end. And why does he sit Addy the whole 3rd quarter and then expect her to be in any sort of flow. Love what Bill has done for the program but that offense is so easy to defend by simple overplaying the perimeter..

And people wonder why Donarski left…

Except third quarter was nor really our problem. We built the lead without her. Refs and Turnovers were a problem. Missed free throws too.
