2) Where is everyone staying at in Dallas? I just changed from road trip to flight.
We're staying at the Holiday Inn Express by Six Flags, stayed there in '20. They still had rooms when I booked yesterday. They also had a shuttle to/from AT&T, for those looking for an easy way to get to the game and back. The hotel was cool w/ us just leaving our truck, too.

Doing a little research and considering trying to pull every string I can to get to Arlington. Would drive and be there for CW party Friday night. Can someone give me the quick skinny on how to get tix for the cheapest? Hotel recommendations?

What’s the best way to drive this b*tch from NE Iowa? KC to OKC and down? Or that route through Missouri and Joplin?

You're on a toll way from Emporia to the OK border. Overall, the route on I 35 is significantly faster and better maintained. We've taken the I 35 route many times between here & Dallas (we're usually headed to the Hill Country, west of Austin). We tried the Missouri route once and were underwhelmed.

For once man, for once, just skip that darn precious moments place on that Missouri route. You may love it but just hit it on the way back.

Texas Live! is fun and all but be ready to buy $20 beers. Maverick's was a fun hangout for Cyclones last time. I'm out of the loop as to what is all planned for Friday night though.

The DFW Alumni group is setting up a bring-your-own-tailgate get together in the NW corner of lot 10. Beware of the tailgate rules. You can only set up tailgate items on the grass edges of the parking lots.

12oz are probably $6-7. $20 would be your 32oz.

The real kicker is on big weekends they usually charge a cover to get in and if you want a table where the big 100 foot screen is, there is usually a $50min per person on top of that. Not sure if they’ll do that Friday though but definitely will do it Saturday.

It’s fun if you set the expectations right mentally cost wise but definitely spendy by Central Iowa standards.
