traipsing thru the treetops
Milo has been allowed out in the rest of the house for the past few weeks, but still cannot sleep on the bed with us like most of the other cats do, so we have been taking him back downstairs to the sunroom where his pen is. The door of the pen is open, and the door of the room is open until we close him in there at night. He's been a good boy after several days of learning this new normal. One of us will head downstairs & say c'mon Milo, and he will trot along next to us like a dog at heel, straight into his room. Tonight I took him down, but just before he entered the sun room Boots came busting out of there. Milo went into the room and stopped dead, staring at his pen and the cardboard box inside. Puss was curled up in there. Milo stood there & stared until I chased Puss out of HIS box. Then he trotted straight into the box, curled up & looked at me like "what are you waiting for? Turn off the light; I'm ready for bed",
He's feeling SO much better, and I'm feeling better now that he doesn't have to be in kitty jail all the time. Ten more nights. :)

The Muscatine band threw me for a loop Friday night. They used several ISU cadences including Stick Swing, the "Cyclone" field entry one and played cowbell. Then apparently their fight song or an extended version of it is the iowa fight song.

I was setting a floor joist into place when I look at my hand and it's completely red. I poked the back of my thumb near the webbing with what must have been a loose staple. I've never bled so much in my life.
I got a screw put into the tip of my finger when a guy missed the stud with a screw gun

Well after a little more than 2 months on the road, and then 5 days on the local roads when I got back. I finally get to stay at home and start doing some of my own stuff.

Went to the NW corner of Washington for work, pretty country, nice people, good weather and good food. It was a successful and pleasant trip.

In HS a classmate was using a wire welder and had me hold his project for him while he welded it. He started and missed just a smidge and somehow managed to get the gun to put the wire through the small hole on the gloves index finger. Nothing like the smell of burnt flesh hanging on you all school day.

So did you use it to score sympathy points with the ladies?

Forgot to ask you the other day if you were back yet for good. PNW can be really pretty in the fall.

My cat Tiger went to Vet Med a week ago and was diagnosed with a UTI and has been on medication for it. This morning out of nowhere she started meow crying and acting weird then seemed fine. I looked in a room where a litter box is and she came out of corner where it's at again doing the crying meows. So I figure that it's a struggle for her to do number 1. Called Vet Med and they called back and we got an appointment for tomorrow.

So very worried about news we might get tomorrow. She's coming up on 16th birthday and even though that's a long time I'm in no way prepared if I get the worst news. We have had several pets counting my dad's side and mom's side but Tiger is simply 1 of a kind. Found her as a stray in our garage just weeks old so I've literally had her all of her life.

This is going to destroy me. :(

He’s too busy taking care of all those lady friends that he left in the lurch to reply. How many people do you know that would take a long flight on 9/11?

Leaves were just beginning to turn when I left. They were losing their summer brightness and getting dull not much color to them yet, but up in the mountains there were leaves gathering along the roads.

Partial lunar eclipse happening right now. Clear sky so go look from my abode but not seeing the reddish moon that sometimes happens.
