First 30 seconds sounded like a Black Sabbath deep cut!
Sabbath was our biggest influence for sure! I don't like this recording for 3 reasons...

1. The studio we recorded at was brand new and the kid didn't know what he was doing. I think we were the first band he recorded. He put an affect on my vocals towards the end that I don't care for.

2. I had bronchitis when I recorded the vocals so they sound crazy. I was sick for a month straight but everyone was hounding me to record so we could finish up the album, so I just went and did it one night.

3. The keyboards are missing. Our keyboardist played 2 different keyboard parts throughout the song and the kid recording us somehow deleted those 2 tracks. Not sure how the hell that could happen. Our keyboardist lived an hour away and was going off to college soon, so he couldn't get back into the studio.

The keyboards are my favorite part of the song and it sounds weird without them. We did release a live album that has a great version of the song. If I can find my copy, I will upload it to the youtubes. The keyboards are present but I still had bronchitis and had a migraine so you can tell on the recording that I wasn't energetic like I usually was at concerts. Fun times.

Thank you for turning me on to this group! Very soothing, well timed, songs, lyrics and music. Superb vocals as well!
Try a few of the other Still Corners songs. "The Trip" with the family inner tubing video is hard for me to stop watching after maybe 500 times it still gets me. Goods stuff! Their story is amazing, and they are talented and very nice people.
