Awesome news and don't take this as being a downer, but kinda worthless to point out "#1 class" when it's guaranteed we'll end far below that. It's reflective of gaining multiple recruits faster than anyone else. Only one five star has even committed anywhere.

I'm no expert but I'm guessing having three top 150 commits helps the staff shoot for the moon on the last spot and also commit resources to other things within the program.

Kind of the opposite of KSU paying a guy who won't be on 2025 draft boards $2 million for one year because they panicked and had no transfers.

Your right that the # 1 class will change this far out. To be a upper just having the #1 class at any point is an accomplishment. there may be 8-9 different teams that can claim that spot thus elite company. Even when. ISU loses the top spot they won't drop drastically this will be a top 20 class at worst.

First take: Conrad needs to be an assistant coach when he's out of eligibility

Second take: TJ needs to recruit the next CEO. Someone find the top basketball playing hype man every 4 years and make it a roster spot
I think they've indicated that they want to keep him on in some capacity however they can.

I agree but I remember it being mentioned that he's dead set on joining the marines. Having him as an assistant on the S&C staff is a no brainer if he wants it.

As a Marine. I’ll have a talk with him. Although honestly he would make a great Marine if he can make it through OCS which his attitude in life tells me he will

It’s amazing to me that the people freaking out over some random 3 star basketball recruit leaving before summer really even starts, and the people that claim the O-line is going to be the best ever year after year are the same people.
And the one who asked if the Rot was setting in?

Wasn't it a Navy Seal?
If he wants to become a SEAL, I think it's best (most common) to be in the Navy, then apply and be accepted to the SEAL's? Inter-service transfers (from the Marines) are possible but not as likely, as he would have to be released from his first obligation.

He could also join the Marines, serve his tour, get released, then join the Navy. He could also be accepted into a SEAL contract, from the start of his military experience, but I think that is fairly rare.

The best path is to join the Navy, follow all the initial training, then application, etc. Of course, a recruiter for the Navy would know more, and best.
