I heard that. BYU was trying to be diplomatic and nice guys about it. We all saw it with our own eyes and know who bad guy is.
OK, BYU Dad, I'm going to be very specific here becuase you appear to be the 1/3 of a fanbase that is dedicated, out of touch and believes his team's collective **** does not stink.

Watch this for 4 minutes (at 21:00):

With that little bit documented for all the world to see, Saunders gives up any "I was just playing in a basketball game and then the big, bad ISU player hit me out of nowhere," sentiment. He knows that the game was chippy (a good and seemingly natural tactic for these young men), that both sides were contributing to it (admittedly, ISU did not go choirboy), that he did a combination of things to purposefully try to get under another player's skin, that he thought it was funny and he didn't just "out of the blue" get his ass knocked to the floor for no reason. I DO LIKE that he fully admitted he was dicking around with another player, on purpose, to get the exact result he got.

So, maybe you should shut your yap about ISU and "dirty." Your boys dish it out and when they get what they "want", they need to take the consequences and you need to enjoy the fact that your boys have learned how to be sneaky little ********, just like anyone else's boys can.

In combination this shows me that:
1) Some BYU players can and will use everything at their disposal to win a game, just like many other players in the NCAA. They are not special becuase they wear a BYU jersey and no one should ever insinuate this, especially their fans.

2) That I won't feel bad cheering against yet another religious school in our conference becuase they "are probably good people". That benefit of the doubt has been cleared up for me.

3) BYU likely has as many asshat fans as every other school in the nation. I really appreciate your contribution to this conclusion.

You don't need to worry about that. I'll be here. BYU has the calendar circled for that game.
I just don’t remember seeing you around in mid-November when we beat your football team like a drum in Provo.

Not interested in grocery store amateur crap. We go to real soda shops for packed soda. That's how we do it where I come from. Had a 32 oz in fridge ready go this morning.
This dude has to be a parody account. This is one of the weakest things I've ever read. Utah fans were right about y'all and I didn't want to admit it because Joe Wheat is a good dude on Twitter.

Go soak yourself, dude.

PEOPLE! This is a BYU game thread. The BYU game occurred a week ago. We should probably move on, don't you think?
If ISU was a Game of Thrones Great House, our words would be "We do not move on".

Our boys have to play the game too. Sometimes that means getting a little bit physical and holding your ground.

But guess what?

You've never seen BYU do anything like your player did. That's just taking it to far and very uncalled for. I'll just come out and say it. Iowa State should've have suspended him for at least a game.

Your player flopped as much as Caitlin Clark did as she ran off the floor at Ohio State yesterday.

Re-watching this BYU segment of the incident reveals unequivocally how Saunders is a weasel and a dirty player. BYU will now be my most hated team, for sure while Saunders is at BYU, and probably long afterwards.

It's nice to know what the culture is there, from the coach down, to the BYU TV crew, talking about and laughing about this incident and his style of play.

If their goal is to get under your skin, consider it done. Good job BYU.

More like Iowa State showing up to our house and behaving badly. The first time you come your players stands in front of our fans and flips off everybody in the building. Then you come back a few years later and play like its a hockey game.

If you watch the video, the main take away is the victim of the dirty play is still hurt. He said his neck and ribs hurt. That may have cost BYU the game at Texas Tech we'll never know. Just because he could play it doesn't mean he's 100% and probably far from it. Nice job.

Two weeks ago a guy from Houston tackled Robert Jones in mid-air and the refs didn't even look at it. It was a common foul to them I guess. If that kind of stuff bothers you, I'm sure the WCC will take you back. Otherwise, you might as well get used to big boy basketball.

Also, we just won a road game without our best player. Come back when you're done with excuses.
