Was that them saying Dresser is Jackson? What in the world are you talking about?

Arnold is an upper weight at the University of Iowa...... TNT will not develop him. History has proven thatI was at the meet yesterday. Loved the atmosphere. We all know the good & the bad, outcome-wise, but the shocker to me was Arnold beating Feldkamp. I know Arnold will be a great one (maybe multiple NCs) but any time a true freshman (in his 2nd or 3rd match) beats an AA 6th year senior that qualifies as a shocker in my book. For all the other missteps, mess-ups & shortcomings, the good guys win if Feldkamp get the decision.
Was everybody else as surprised as I was or did y'all see it coming?
More specifically, he said: Dresser team can't coach fundamentals or improve the talent they get. I guess it's time to send Ech back to Ohio State or the Frost boys to Columbia--and hit the transfer portal we haven't been looking at.Was that them saying Dresser is Jackson?
Sounds like they’re saying the current situation is no better than the Jackson era.Was that them saying Dresser is Jackson?
Seemed like it to me, terrible take. Jackson's teams seemed to overperform some marches, where dressers so far have slightly underperformed. Anyone who knows anything about wrestling would take the dresser teams over Jackson. Hopefully we have a good March and dresser can jeep us on an upward trajectory.Sounds like they’re saying the current situation is no better than the Jackson era.
I think we found the Bobby Douglas burner account. What in the world are you talking about?
I would argue the injury bug has significantly impacted the ability for someone to accurately evaluate this.Seemed like it to me, terrible take. I was surprised iowas staff made that move. They wouldn't do something like that if they didn't know the match would be competitive (arnold has been in the room last year as well). Still surprised feldkamp couldn't big brother him.I was at the meet yesterday. Loved the atmosphere. We all know the good & the bad, outcome-wise, but the shocker to me was Arnold beating Feldkamp. The sad part of 174 is you won't see Kennedy in that poor of wrestling shape again. As he climbs the rankings getting this win would of been huge for seeds down the road.
I agree with that. Haven't seen enough to know its a consistent trend. I was a fan through the Jackson years and don't miss watching us get rode for 3 minutes every other match and not be competitive save for a few studs so I'm a big dresser fan, just think we can do better and dresser would say the same thing.I would argue the injury bug has significantly impacted the ability for someone to accurately evaluate this.
He just wasn’t prepared for the leg attacks Kennedy was going to come with.Did anyone else think MJ looked like he had a bad cut or something was wrong? He looked more than flat. I know he is a junker but jesus

It almost seemed like the nerves of wrestling in front of 15k and the moment got to be a little much for him at the start of the match. After he settled down in the 2nd and composed himself, he looked more like MJ. But that also was when Kennedy started to lose significant steam. Hopefully it was a good learning moment for MJ and he comes out ready to attack the legs more than he did yesterday. He needs to watch his 3rd period high crotch on repeat and work on hitting that over going for the big throwsHe looked slow
You’re being serious? Read it again. You’re getting fooled just like you did with Jackson. Except he didn’t pull in guys with sketchy histories.

Gotta love having selective memory. Not to mention just how bad the lineup was at the end of the Jackson years. Our weakest weight right now is 197 with Broderson being ranked 25th. Over half of the Jackson lineup was unranked and uncompetitive. The Jackson years were dark and he really plunged the program into a massive hole. The teams were generally in poor condition, awful mat wrestlers, and not even close to competing in duals. There are things that we need to improve as a program, and Dresser knows that. But to compare the 2 eras and say we are in a similar spot now that we were with KJ is just nonsenseJackson didn't pull in guys with sketchy histories? Hmm...cough PD3 cough
