What are we suppose to do? Throw chairs at our family eating turkey? Game isn’t over and if you look at all other stats, this just doesn’t pan out. We literally shot 13% majority of the half and are losing by 9.

Off rebounds 14 to 3
TO 3 to 9
Steals 4 to 1

Just have to make more of your second chance shots and it’s a total different game.

We are supposed to embarrassed because of the players.

Our guys heads are down when we are driving into the paint, seems like they’re just committing to absorbing the contact rather than a kick and drive or jump-stop/triple threat. VCU certainly inviting some of that but we need to adjust.

Refs have tight whistles so our plan of paint touches isn't working out as well, missed a lot of bunnies, and VCU, who has hit 28% of 3 point shot on the season, shot 50% in the first half. Not a recipe for success for our gameplan.

Respectfully, I think some fans are just realizing that - while our “ceiling” feels (or felt) potentially higher this year, our “floor” is right where it’s been - rock bottom. That’s a tough pill to swallow 5 games in.

Otz ball is back baby!

Was hoping we’d see less confusing in-game coaching from him but…gonna have to wait at least another game.

How you don’t take a time out when they go on a 10-0 run and our continued offensive strategy of attacking the lane against 4 6’9” guys and throwing up a prayer is beyond me. And why Pav plays for a 5 min stretch when he won’t even look at the basket and clearly cannot defend. Weird stubbornness from TJ again.

Defense isn't great either.

I'm not sure they have an answer on either end tonight.

Having Jackson and Milan on the court are the same time should never happen, it only compounds the issues.

Put Lipsey, Watson, Gilbert, C Jones/Omaha and King out there to start the half and see what they can do. It's our most athletic group. Focus on defense, Rebounds, and transition buckets. Once and if we get VCU to struggle offensively I think they will start to panic, much like we did in the first half.

Against this team, on this night, Milan, Jackson, and BRE aren't great matchups. Milan looks lost, Jackson has no athleticism, and BREs hands are killing us out there. The more athletic we go and stay the better our chances are.

They got lots of good looks against Pitt.

There's been very few tonight.

I'm not sure if 'make shots' is a viable adjustment.
We most certainly did not getting any better looks against Pitt than we have so far tonight.

This game just reminds me too much like the NCAA tournament game against Pitt. I think we also cut it to like 7 at half and showing some life but the second half just went the same way as the first.

Hope I’m wrong.

A lot of missed shots in the paint, some due to the length of VCU. Driving to the basket has been fine but VCU is crashing hard with their bigs. Need to get Milan or Jones some kick outs for three. Offense just needs to settle in and we'll be fine.
I think VCU is just fine with overextending then dealing with guards getting to the rim with their bigs. And no counter so far. Just not sure what ISUs offense is. This is not a team clanking open looks. They aren’t generating any good looks for Milan or C. Jones.

It's also 5 games in so assuming such things seems like a bit of a reaction.
