Several,years ago, we were up 28 - 0 at the half KSU. won 35 - 28.
I drove up from Wichita for that game and thought it was great how well we were doing against a KState program that was having great teams. KState was a different animal than today's BYU, but losing a big lead like that still hurt.

Here's the boxscore, etc. for that game:

Way up there
Can't believe how dominant the running game was. Felt really good to see Sama breakout after being the doghouse for his fumble at Baylor. His first couple of carries, he missed the hole trying to break everything outside, was great to see him figure that out. I love all 3 RB's.

Went to bed at halftime and woke up to see they never took the foot off the gas. Really impressive how Campbell has turned this around.

Who knows how the season would have gone if we didn't have blind officials for the KU game, but I'm stunned we are bowl eligible after the 1-2 start.

where’s the picture to see if they are hot or not:)
And now you know why I much prefer this board over the BYU one.

It was fun to talk to the ISU fans around us last night, even if the game was either a cruise to victory or a shameful domination depending on perspectives.

You know, the box score is a lot closer than I would have guessed. I would have assumed a bigger yardage discrepancy. Especially rushing yardage. It also looks like they ran more plays than we did, which also surprises me. Just goes to show the importance of winning that turnover battle.

What happened in the 4th quarter?
Foot off the gas or what? Rocco played most of it yet no scoring...

Look at 3rd and 4th down efficiency and pass completions.

That directly ties to an experienced quarterback who puts his team in positions to convert, and an inexperienced one who does not.

Couple that with a running game that can pick up the last couple yards and one that doesn’t very much and you have the recipe for a blowout.

And yeah, turnovers.

I thought the same but BYU only had 85 yards passing with a minute left so they padded their stats on the last meaningless drive against a lot of reserves. Awesome job keeping them from scoring on that drive, though!

When you remove all other fun social activities (bars, movies, fornication), football games are all that is left to do. So that is the highlight of their week.
To be fair, there were more Cyclone fans at this game than from any of the other 4 games we’ve gone to in the stadium this year, including Texas Tech. It was a great representation and my wife noticed.

I told her sports mean more in the Midwest because there aren’t as many other attractions like mountains and beaches.

I have no idea if that’s true but it was my theory.
