Going through the radio and they have Dobbs as the qb, what happened to the other dude?
Jaren Hall was 5-6 for 78 yards on his 1st drive. But in an attempt to score down by the goal line he was whacked pretty good by 2 guys and sustained a concussion.

I was pretty meh on the Dobbs signing. Wanted a somewhat bigger name and more well known commodity. Think I was wrong, though. Dobbs is smart enough, an aerospace engineering major, and has looked pretty good in the NFL despite low draft capital and now on his 4th NFL team in five years. Has persevered through some poor situations, namely starting 8 games for a team openly tanking in the Cardinals. Hope he does well in Minnesota

There is some similar scenario to the Dobbs story and Purdy experience. Dobbs has had lots of snaps in his HS, Tennessee & NFL career. Throw in their intelligence, good parental influence and ability to process under pressure along with calm confidence. Will be interesting to see if Dobbs will continue successfully or go the other direction.

I don't think Dobbs has the ceiling that Purdy has, but I do wonder if Dobbs and other trades this year, change some GMs mindset regarding in-season trades. Trades in the NFL have always been sparse outside a few positions, with the usual reason being lack of time to learn the offense. It would seem that mindset might be changing.

Same here when I first heard the rumors about Dobbs and the Vikings. I thought they would give up more than they did, but I have to hand it to Kwesi, that's a good price to pay for a guy that looks like he can be a competent starter in the league.

I knew very little about him outside of his Cards games. Man, what an easy guy to root for and you can see why the tanking Cards rallied around him and played solid football.

With Dobbs bouncing around as he has, I’m hoping O’Connell will be the key to helping him be a difference maker for the Vikes. Tools are all there, have the Vikes found a diamond in the rough?

I don't know if his true ceiling is full time starter. Would be great to retain and have him in the QB room and be able to start on a whim if needed. Hoping he can be as good as Case Keenum was in 2017.

I think Kwesi has done a remarkable job of making mid-seasons additions. Hockenson, Risner, and Dobbs all look like winning moves.

It's the drafting that concerns me. If we could find some guy that could draft, and then let Kwesi handle the season management, I think you'd really have something.

I still think draft is TBD. Cine is a bust, but Ingram is improving, Evans is solid as a starter, Booth is actually playing decent recently. Then last draft Addison looks like a home run, Blackmon has made some big plays, Jaqueline Roy has flashed at DT, and Ivan Pace was a great undrafted free agent addition

Agree on Addison. You can argue he's been saving this season.

I'm not totally disagreeing but first rounders get extra scrutiny, so trading back with a divisional rival and then blowing the pick; that's a huge screw up.

Lucky for us, Jameson Williams also looks like a bust so at least we got draft capital back from Detroit for that. Also allowed us to get Addison this year as I am pretty sure Williams would've been our pick if we stayed at 12

You know when he said that I was thinking it didn’t seem like that odd of a score. But it has only happened once before?
This final score also happened in a Steelers game in the not too distant past. 11-10 is just not that odd of a score so when you posted I had to look it up. Maybe Bercich just meant in vikes history.

FWIW, there have been 4 scoragamis this year
