pay starts at $10/hr
so you're saying 3 years ago workers were paid $5/hr?

Who wants to take up a Saturday, spend 6 hours in the heat dealing with a bunch of drunk people (including lots of Karens) to make a net of $50?

These entities love to blame people for "not wanting to work". It's the complete opposite - people want to work, just not for **** wages.

I'm guessing he will be in the stadium less than 30 minutes.
You don't think he'll stay for juicy wiggle???

I remember being mad at husband because of all his dawdling, as I like to be at the gate an hour before kickoff. I like to watch players warming up and the whole pregame stuff.

We got to the north gate at 12:25. We must have dodged a bullet, all of the lines were short.
You did. We were 10 minutes behind you and missed kickoff.

Every game, concert, and event I've gone to in the past two years has had mobile-only tickets. And I've been to a lot in the past two years. NFL games. Taylor Swift concert. MLS games. MLB games.
Target Center events.

Why is it only Iowa State football that can't figure it out?

It was very quick at the Taylor Swift concert I attended. Did the Chicks last weekend and actually got in on a transferred ticket, lol. I had purchased 5 for our group and transferred 4 out but I guess I had downloaded the wrong one. They let me in anyway.

Easy Solution:
Ban boomers from the stadium. Fans over the age of 60 shouldn't be allowed.

Also, anybody that had issues with the scanners are morons.

I kinda wish all the people who think that collecting welfare is some kind of lottery would just go quit their job and collect welfare. For as much as they complain about it, you'd think they were jealous of those folks.

The biggest problem in finding employment is that there are literally less people around to work, period. The boomers were part of these massive families where everyone had 6 kids. Those 6 kids went on to have 2-3 kids, and their kids are maybe having 1 or 2.

We are literally making less people, so when someone from the boomer generation retires, there literally might not be someone (any one) to take their place.

and we had several hundred thousand extra deaths in the past couple years - it's showing up a lot of places like bussing for public schools.

Who knows. Meta data on my phone shows I got in line right around 12:35 and I remember the coin toss. I think some people are exaggerating their time in line for dramatic purposes just like people are claiming tailgating was shortened.
I don't know about meta data. I know that when we got in line I looked at my watch to see how long before kickoff. It was 12.35 and I thought "it's okay, kickoff isn't for another half hour". You know me. I am not exaggerating for dramatic purposes. :)

I’m not saying everyone is exaggerating but there are plenty of people who are.

You're misremembering. It's always been 6 hours before or 7 am, whichever comes first for the Donor lots. Now, if the game is at 11, they won't let you in until 6 and you have a legitimate gripe. But 1 pm - 6 hours = 7 a.m., which is right in line with the old rules.
Hmm yep guess you're right. For some reason I was thinking it had an impact on this game too. Guess time just flies when you're tailgating.

Everything said in that interview was pretty tone deaf.

He has completely missed the issue on several things.

I love Pollard, but he is not handling the many issues right now very well.

If everyone shows up early then the same problem just starts then.
Some didnt have issues. Others did. I did everything supposed to do, had the tap set up and ready, etc. But the readers wouldnt read my phone/tix. Tell me how that is going to be addressed?

Show up an hour early, for the game....but dont you dare show up early for the tailgate, that we already have pushed later.

I hear a lot of excuses, a lot of pushing the blame on fans. But no solutions. I want to hear actual solutions.

Did Matt and Jamie decide to blame everything on fans this year?

Recommending that you show up 15-30 minutes earlier than normal is a valid recommendation to mitigate any issues getting to your seat on-time; however, its a tone deaf thing to say when donor parking lots are opening 90 minutes later than the past. Up to 2 hours less tailgating.

Disclaimer: I didn't have any trouble getting into the stadium this past week, but I was at the gate just as things started getting backed up. I also rarely complain about things that reduce tailgating time/environment/etc.

I've always said (even pre pandemic) that when the unemployment rates gets below 5% there are people who have jobs that shouldn't. Most days I'd gladly help fund some unemployment benefits rather than deal with total idiots in the workforce.
