I’ll never understand DUIs in todays world. You are a millionaire and the most famous person in Morgantown. He could’ve called an Uber or literally anyone to come get him. I hope he gets canned because it seems like he thinks rules don’t apply to him.

Alcoholics get away with it for years. They don't think it matters.

Hard to fire that good a coach. Pulled over for something else then this was found or driving poorly will matter some, plus if he is contrite and does some PSAs and counseling for alcohol I think they will retain him. Just my 2 cents.
You may be right, but I've got a feeling this may be the end for him. Not very easy to change your ways at age 69.

It's too bad.

You would think he would be smart enough to make a grad assistant or manager drive him around.

He looks to me like a guy that hits the McDonald’s drive through a lot
He also seems like a guy who routinely drives after downing a few and does just fine with it. Some people are like that and can handle it just fine. I have no doubt if he wouldn't have gotten the flat, he would have got home with no issues. The problem with driving drunk (setting aside the obvious danger to yourself and others) is that eventually, something is going to go wrong. You could make a small mistake that any sober driver could make or have a headlight out or a flat tire and once you get pulled over, you are screwed. It's a game of Russian Roulette and you're going to get caught eventually if you do it often...even if you limit yourself to 4-5 drinks and don't get bombed.

Going to be a bidding war for their portal pickups
No. Huggins made 4 million a year. WVU wont go cheap replacing him. It should be Joe Mazzulla or d. Nichols from richmond (uneducated guess). Or even Mike Gansey.

Whoever it is, the players will like the new guy as well or better than huggins.

and WVU's NIL deals were done bc they paid the most. As long as WVU hires well, no one is leaving money on the table to go elsewhere.

Probably the final nail in the coffin for him. I hated playing his teams, but he was an entertaining guy.

Many people, including here, think driving drunk isn’t a big deal.

I have to think WVU tells him you’re retiring or we are firing you. Two huge screwups within months apart either one would be fired for cause if done by someone not as accomplished or tenured as Huggins.

According to On3 Huggins got an DUI in Pittsburg. He had a flat tire and was stopped in the street. Cops asked him to pull to the side of the street and they noticed he didn’t drive to good. He failed his test and off to jail he went. He was placed in custody without incident. Wow, Huggy didn’t put up a fight, did what he was told. First time for everything.

Not sure what you mean by first time for everything. It isn't his first DUI
