Loaded with uncertainty.
Iowa State football is freaking loaded right now.
Loaded with uncertainty.
I figured loaded was the new way of saying completely underwhelming, unproven, and undeveloped.
So all of them were 21, guess that's not the criminal part.
Define 'athlete'The criminal part is that any athletes are not allowed to gamble under Iowa law.
Why do you think the TE position is loaded?
Probably anyone on scholarship, walk on, participating in practice somehow, shouldn't be difficult. Broom ball free agents excluded thoughDefine 'athlete'
Gambling already is a thing among college athletes. Does anyone really think ISU and Iowa are the only schools where this happens?Agree. They aren't going to mess around with gambling. It will be a very harsh punishment. If gambling becomes a thing amongst college football players... it could ruin the sport. People will not attend or watch a sport if they believe it is rigged.... unless it's professional wrestling (which I have no idea why anyone attends or watches btw).
Kids of college age now grew up with DraftKings and FanDuel which were/are gambling sites disguised as fantasy games to get around the law before it changed. Gambling just doesn't have the stigma it once had and the NCAA needs to get out of the stone age here.
What code section are we referring to now?The criminal part is that any athletes are not allowed to gamble under Iowa law.
Ha. That wasn't the statement. The statement was that only Louisiana had legal sports betting. Not legal sports betting that can be done legally from home. Not in the way that matters. You can bet on sports in Mississippi, but you have to be in a licensed casino to do it. You can’t from your living room.
Then why have professionals...both players as well as officials...done exactly that? They're making SIGNIFICANTLY more than 99% of the collegiate athletes. And the threat of it compromising the game is really nonexistent now because of NIL. No player in his right mind is going to take a few grand to shave points, tank a game, etc, when they're already making major bank through NIL. I mean, deliberately playing poorly to bag a game would affect a player's NIL market worth as well, and potentially tank a career.
I still regret not buying a pair of broomball shoes back in '95-'96. Who knew I would have needed them for intermurals at ISU and that I'd never see them in a store again??? They looked like Chuck Taylors w/ a thick, spongy rubber sole, saw them in a sports store at the Mall of America. I think they were steel toe, tooProbably anyone on scholarship, walk on, participating in practice somehow, shouldn't be difficult. Broom ball free agents excluded though
So, college athletes. That would make more sense but I still doubt it's a law.Probably anyone on scholarship, walk on, participating in practice somehow, shouldn't be difficult. Broom ball free agents excluded though
...it is a lawSo, college athletes. That would make more sense but I still doubt it's a law.

Norton is the best RB on our roster..... if he's healthy IMO. But losing Brock will certainly hurt depth. We will basically have 3 RBs.... and then Carson Hansen and Abu Sama (if he plays RB?).
