Gotta love the high speculation all off-season unless of course someone gets dismissed. Kind of feels like if that were going to be the case it would happen sooner than later. Why wait around if you know what they did was that bad?

Right now, I’m higher on Dekkers than anyone else in the room.

I think Dekkers can definitely be a lot better than his first year as a starter. OL was just so bad. Top two RB’s got hurt early then played still injured when they returned. Playcalling was just god awful. Showed signs of promises then for whatever reason always resorted back to what wasn’t working.

I think all the coaching changes were huge. Also Kohl could be huge as well, it might be better if he sits at least a year for development but if he ends up winning the job sooner than later that’s not a bad thing either.

Because the NCAA report/punishment will not be known until June sometime. Then I’m sure they will go through an appeal process. Probably won’t know full extent (if even true) until August.

Wow. Now this is pretty specific. Tell u
My point is it is against NCAA rules to bet so where it happened shouldn't even matter. The infraction was committed the place where it committed is immaterial.

Technically you’re right. No way Campbell doesn’t take that as a slap in the face from Dekkers. Not only could he not follow the rules, but he broke them in the team facility.

Correct me if I am wrong, but this has not been confirmed. It is just a lot of speculation.

Not been confirmed, no. But almost immediately there was smoke about it, followed by the very uncommon act of taking a JUCO QB at the end of May when you already have 3 QBs on scholarship. It's not hard to read between the lines.

Not saying the timing isn't odd, but does anyone feel safe with only 3 QBs on the roster?

What if I told you this involved Caesars Sportsbook, Counciltucky, Iowa Courts Online, a mom, an app, and parting ways?

I have no idea if it’s true that a player’s mom is sort of involved.

But it does make you wonder if a player and/or his parents were trying this to avoid getting caught.

I don't believe 4 scholarship QBs is typical. Usually it's 3 plus a walk on or two.

Last year we had Dekkers and Becht on scholly and Clark, Glantz and Cook as walk-ons

2021 we had Brock Dekkers and Bouman on scholarship, Clark and Cook as walk-ons

2020 we had Purdy Dekkers Bouman with Hayes Gibson and Clark as walk-ons.

So while I'd agree only having 3 is a concern, normally past that you have a walk-on that's just there for an emergency.
