I called Direct TV. I had the Choice packet so added the sports package which includes the Longhorn network and will cancel it tomorrow. It will cost me less than a dollar and the lady found a way to take $ 45 a month of my bill. Looking forward to watching an interesting game.

Honestly impressive that in 2023 it is this hard to find a legitimate way to stream a game. This is very 2003.

In summation, the only way to guarantee viewing the game is a SlingTV 50% of first month deal which will cost you $20.

Sling has 3 different package options. You would need the Orange package, correct?

Plus the add on to get LHN. Guessing it will end up somewhere in the range if $30-$40.

Do I like Texas... no. I do find the LHN hate interesting. Not like this is a new thing, we've had plenty of time to adjust. Also, that LHN kept us out of the big East..

I can't wait for Texas to be gone, but the LHN has helped ISU athletics.
Hmm, that an interesting take.

It looks like you have to pick the Orange+Blue base package at $27.50 and then the Sports add on at $15 for a total of $42.50 to get the LHN (on a PC). I think that I'll just catch it on the radio.

Way up there
The only place I could find the free trial for sling is after downloading the app. It gives the option to sign in or free trial. I already have a sling sub so I didn't try the free trial but for anyone without a sub it's probably worth a shot to download the app and try.

Edit: tried with a different email than my account and it gave me a free trial until 2-24-23. Go get it!

I could try it on the TV but then my wife couldn't watch her Magnolia Channel reruns!
I just tried to sign up and the total including tax is $33.17
$20 for orange
$11 for sports
$2.17 tax

they do give you showtime Stars and over 20 movie channels free for the first month.

I would drive to Austin and get a ticket from a scalper before I would pay that much for the Longwhorn Network.

Really? That’s an incredible waste of time and money. I wouldn’t drive down to Austin if someone offered me free courtside tickets and $500 cash.

OK, tried it again and the above combo does work for me now. I must have missed the LHN add-on being available for the Orange package. I still think that I'll catch bits of it on the radio.
