Looking at the standings, the Tech loss still hurts. Gotta find a couple wins on the road out of the combination of #6, #9, #12 to get that ring. Tall order!

We got in at 7-11 last year and that was when the Big 12 wasn't as good as it is this year and the bubble last year was tougher than this year as well. When you're seeing a team like Wisconsin who is 80th in the NET with some bad losses still in many brackets...we're not only in, we're probably at worst a 10.

We were already in. We have far better wins than last year and more of them to boot.

The only conceivable way this team wasn't making it was losing our AND losing badly AND having key injuries. Basically creating a situation where we were bottoming out and fielding a team that wasn't the same that racked up the quality wins.

Chances of that happening were zero. At the end of the day we've had a lead in EVERY Big 12 game in the second half. It's not like we are getting blown out.

Good chance we lose the next two, I’ll wait until then for my own sanity.

Then just relax a little.

I agree I just think 9-9 removes all doubt. I know our resume has a ton of top wins just the cyclone fan in me worries about only having 17 wins. Last year we had the added benefit of an undefeated noncon.

But we are short a win because of Omaha being canceled. There is a 0% chance they leave a team that has 7+ Q1 wins, no bad losses, has beaten three top ten teams which no other team has done and yet teams like Utah State, Boise State, Wisconsin, Maryland, Pitt, etc get in. The field is just incredibly average this year.

No. I saw he lost his cool at the end. He didn't have a good game then either. Wonder what's going on with him.
CW, mentioned his back issue may be lingering a bit on his reaction pod after the OSU game. Hopefully it gets back close to normal and he pulls out of the slump.

It's a game thread. I'm astounded at how frequently people complain at the slightest hint of something negative or not "positive". It's even better when they ***** and don't actually take issue with the content.

It was a great win in the sense we 'needed' it. Kunc was outstanding, as was the front court in general, but the guards struggled. If one was objective and honest it was a mixed bag, a far cry from the team game against KU or some others earlier in the season.

Hopefully our guards, at least one of them anyway, can get things figured out. We also need guys to figure out how to avoid senseless fouls. It will be VERY hard for us to win in the postseason if we have guys putting themselves on the bench because they are fouling guys on wide open dunks.

KSU is struggling. If we are getting a road win in the last 3, Saturday is easily our best opportunity.

The good:

- Kunc played a near perfect game. Offense, shooting, FTs, defense and rebounding were all outstanding. And he wasn't picking up stupid fouls to reduce playing time. Arguably the best overall game performance we've seen from any player this year.
- Bob. Played within his abilities. Low volume offense with sensible kickouts. If he does this consistently it helps a ton.
- Tre King. Effort and tenacity were off the charts. Just wish he would have better awareness around the rim, but a great game.
- Free throw shooting.

The bad:

- Shooting guards. Gabe and Grill were not good. Kal had some nice runners at the end of the game.
- Turnovers. Too many mind numbing turnovers, many off of lazy or telegraphed passes.
- Defensive miscues. Overall our defense was okay, but the result was propped up by TCUs Jones like FT shooting. Lots of guys fixating on the ball and losing their man (Gabe was bad with this), some suspect transition D, and too much over-helping when it wasn't necessary. Still too many senseless fouls. Shoon took himself out of the game by doing this.
-Too many loose ball blunders. Just grab the ball.
- General sloppiness. After the early big lead, we played some really sloppy ball.
Not counting individual characters, but it seems slightly more "bad" than "good." Understandable after a close loss.
FYI, it was a double digit win.

Relaaax broseph! We are now in. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. But it won't matter. We'll win another game or two, most likely.

Yep. With tonight, we can lose out and still make it.

Miles makes a huge difference. He's there closer.

Let's be honest though. If we shoot FTs like they did and vice versa, they might have won this game (without Miles). If Kunc was hurt and we don't make our FTs we are in serious trouble.

It's so nice to finally capitalize at the line. If we shoot like this against OSU we probably win the game. We consistently piss 7-10 points away with misses FTs and oops from missing the front end of 1 and 1s

Gabe did a great job shutting down Baugh who is TCU's best player on the court. 2-7 shooting, 6 turnovers.

He more than offset any negatives he had tonight
