Majority of the 3's we've given up are wide open looks. Our traps haven't been on time & we've allowed the ball into the lane then collapsed & weren't able to contest shooters at all. Seem slow/dead-legged out there. Maybe we had a different game plan defensively, too. Just uncharacteristic to be that discombobulated on defense. Maybe this just happens 1 out of 9 times and that may happen more so on the road.

Offense is a struggle. This will be more common occurrence with the composition of this team as we all know. Figure out the defense & make this 2nd half respectable, then just get the F out of IC & back to Ames so we can lick our wounds and move on with the season, hopefully with some lessons learned.
Yep the defense is bad tonight. Slow to every rotation. 2 passes and they’ve got a wide open look.

Last Cyhawk game that was this bad that I can remember was when they had us by 20 at half in Hilton and we came back and beat them. Tougher task this time, on the road, and without the offensive firepower. Likely have to hold them to 20 ourselves to get back in it.
Methinks your forgetting a Prohm game

Wondering if they painted the visitor locker room with pink kryptonite? Neither the men or women could hit the broad side of a barn with a dump truck.

They are just shooting warmup jumpers after 2-3 passes.

I'm not sure I've seen a game like this in a while.

Iowa can't miss!

At least we are scoring, but they are still out of their minds from 3. My god.

In its current composition, 1 or 2 teams are going to miss the dance because they play in the Big 12 instead of any other conference where they'd probably get the wins to get in.

If we have an epic collapse it could be us this year. I have zero doubt this team would make the NCAA with any other major conference schedule. With a Big 12 schedule we're maybe 60% in 40% out. Even with a beatdown tonight we're still going to have a top 20ish non conf resume. Last year had a top 5-10ish non conf resume.
The big 12 isn’t looking that godly this year. It’s solid, but the Big 12 last year was better. I still expect this team to fail to make the tourney though.

I'm not going to downplay or ignore Iowa's performance/strategy. Or ISU's inability to counter-punch, in numerous ways.

Hopefully this is a rare occurrence of Iowa State's weakest tendencies taking place ALL IN ONE GAME.
