Bill (like most people outside Iowa) has no clue about our FB team wearing all black uniforms. He mentioned earlier how New Zealand sports are the “All Blacks” and are known for their extreme toughness when playing, especially rugby. There have been tons of books and a documentary or two about them over the years. It’s not crazy to imagine someone like TJ being inspired by that.

So first half was nothing like second half?

In second half UConn is fouling a ton more, i mean they’re getting away with several push off fouls every play in addition to what is called.

I missed first half bit hard to imagine such a massive change.

At this point it’s part of the schtick. I do think that Dave Pasch (previous PbP guy with Walton) felt it was a punishment. Personally I’d love to call games with Bill. Never a dull night and he keeps it light.
