Today we learned:
  1. Why Baylor is ranked
  2. Why we are not
This humbling needs to pay dividends to prevent learning the same lessons next week @ KU.

ISU looked the much better team for a half, probably deserved a 7-11 pt halftime lead. Baylor looked the much better team in the more important half.

People are overreacting. We are in trouble if ISU is not allowed to tackle in the first half of every game while the opponent is allowed to tackle.

He is just not fast at all game speed. Maybe he's some track star running straight line, I don't know. Game speed slowest QB since Bandhauer.

I still like him as QB but it's idiotic to have designed runs as a big part of our game plan.

He’s had a bunch of 6-9 yard runs so far this season. He’s not supposed to be Kyler Murray. Again, Noel just shirked his block, looked like he thought there was supposed to be a guy on the outside and he was coming on the inside. WR blocking is super important in our scheme and we don’t have any outside of X.

There were some hot garbage calls against the Cyclones today, but Baylor did a better job executing when it mattered today, Cyclones tossed them a life line at critical junctures of the game and just were not as physical the majority of the game. Cyclones need to get their shizzle together this week b/c Kansas is not looking like a push over.

It was a misread, that’s why Noel was looking back inside at Brock. He should have handed it off. Looked like he was shaken or something at the end, the next two throws were pretty off too.

I know people complain about the play call but if Noël had actually blocked #11 instead of looking behind him Dekkers probably gets in
most people only watch the ball when they complain about a play call. After being a assistant coach for 17 years in high school I watch the line play and blocking to see why a play works and doesn’t work. Play’s are called by coaches but player’s do the execution.

The Offense can move the ball down the field, but needs to learn how to finish. Three chances against Iowa resulted in 3 points. Multiple chances today, still not confident. Is it play calling?

Trying to take my cyclone hat off here. Were the refs the reason we lost?

I think no as BU dominated the third quarter. But we started really well and had multiple drives by Baylor in the first quarter extended by fuc*ed up ref calls

Has he had a lot of 9 yard runs where they called a running play for him?

Any QB is going to have some 6-9 yard runs when they scramble on passing plays.

Seems like the easiest thing to fix with offensive play calling to me.

Interesting. I’ll watch in replay. Either way I don’t think that play should be a referendum on Dekkers running ability.
