Baylor is just better than we are - at least at the moment.

Our offensive line can't generate push
Dekkers looks slower running after losing 30 pounds which seems counter intuitive
You can make a samwhich with the time opposing QB's have to throw.
He's young but Dekkers has to get better with ball Security - 7 TO's in 4 games. Yes, one was a fluke play. And yes when you can't run you have to throw the ball a lot

but this looks more like a 6 win team - I bought into the cool aide. But this team has a long way to go. I still think there is a lot of potential but this is a pretty good wake up call.

Kansas is legitimate , especially that offense.
TCU looks better.

I think we go bowling but we have some pretty clear defencies - pass rush, run blocking, lack of a vertical passing game - 4 weeks in I can't say it'll come anymore - I have to apologize to Purdy. I thought we didn't take more shots because he lacked the required arm strength - 4 weeks in and its apparent that even if he did lack the arm, this offense doesn't believe in an aggressive vertical passing game, or at least not more than 1-2 times a game.

Which seriously takes away the chance to be a quick strike team. Which comes in handy when facing appalling refs, or turnovers, or just bad luck etc. But we call such a tight game - and yes it generally works out for us and that's awesome - but its almost like we're playing ourselves.

What I mean by that is that we are a bend but don't break defense
And largely a dink and dunk offense.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, the refefering was beyond awful and put us behind the 8 ball from the jump. The game may turn out differently in that scenario where those calls don't happen. We'll never know.

The booth stuff needs to be investigated.

They sit there on replay and let obvious ones go but flag/eject when it's nothing?

That was game changing to miss that. That's 100% targeting if they even thought to look at the first half call.
Coach needs to call it out. Just say, “Hey, if this is about the safety of the kids, I get it. But, if it were about the safety of the kids, why didn’t they at least review the 3 Baylor did?”

Wondering, again, why we didn't let the play clock run down more incase they review it.

Or ...

That was ridiculous our coaches didn't call a timeout if they had to.

The other targeting calls on Baylor were only actually targeting in context of the first half bull****. This one was just really obvious targeting. Led with helmet, first contact was helmet to helmet. Easy call.

If nothing else make them defend the review vs the first half after the game.

I’m not going to kill Dekkers in first Big 12 start. It shows.

Dekkers is intimidated. Men are wide open that he is just missing today. When he runs there is no urgencey. Line good pass blocking, poor run blocking.
