I need those recipes! I know they still have a few locations in Lincoln, NE but I will likely never be in that town again.
How the hell has no one mentioned Gumbies Pizza yet? Pokey Stix were so addictive. DaVincis had some good food and also a vote for Chinese Homestyle as well.

Open but moved out to north Ames (Somerset is the neighborhood) Straight north of campus.
The Ames truck stop. Buy a burger, knife, and a wallet chain at 3AM.
I loved Gumby's but ONLY for Pokey Stix and their Pepperoni Rolls. Their pizza was garbage, IMO.
And smoke a cigarette and call your wife from your table.

Having those two places so close to each other in Campustown and only two blocks from me was the best.
Also, who's old enough to remember the McDonald's on Welch just south of Welch Ave Station and you could get 'Cyclone Fries' for like $5 and it was just a bag completely full of their french fries.

Pretty sure you’re thinking of Little Taipei for the one by Tazzles. Great restaurant.
I think, and I could be wrong, that Little Taipei actually took over the DaVinci's location for a while before completely closing.
Turns out every ames restaurant I knew or loved, since I left town '06, is no more.
yeah they moved down the street, and I’m pretty sure you’re right about that. But I think they’re still open aren’t they?
