Good for AJ. I personally would have rather lead the #1 conference in scoring, lead my team to another sweet 16 and then received the same 2 way deal in 12 months in addition to $150K in ISU NIL money.

NO hard feelings though. Just another kick in the nads for us

All of that instead of way more money right away and playing against better players in potentially a very cool spot in Europe?

He was going to get $150,000 in NIL from Iowa State?

AJ gets $465,000 which is likely more than he would have gotten in NIL money anywhere. Just a good deal all around for him.
This is not accurate. You only earn the $465k (~$500k in 2022) if you play the fully allowed 50 games in the NBA. Otherwise it's prorated (~$10k / game you appear in). Otherwise you're making $82k if you stay in the G League all season. Both amounts of $500k and $82k are not guaranteed. Injury or cut and you're not making any money. Play for pay.

But the contract isn’t guaranteed right? Pretty sure he can get cut at any time. Probably Europe bound.
That's true, but they wouldn't have signed him to a two-way deal if their expectation was that he wouldn't stay on it through the season. Most players who are going to get cut are on Exhibit 10 deals, like Brockington, where they'll stay on the team through the summer league, then many will get cut.

That used to be the case, but they changed it to a flat salary regardless of NBA games played.

They were on last night. Only watched a couple of minutes. Saw Shayok miss a 3 and later get fouled. I think was on NBATV.
Looks like from the box he started and played 21 minutes. Was 0-4 from the field.

George was DNP

Burton was most productive in 11 minutes, I think it was 6 points, 5 rebounds.
