Weird. Does the city own it?It is indeed. Nobody can agree on what to do with it, so it just sits there, next to the Texans stadium, taking up useful parking space.

I think so. It's been a while since I lived there, so haven't kept up with it. I believe some group got it a historical designation to keep it from being torn down.
When I lived there, they were selling off seats and parts of the old turf as if they were going to tear it down, but that got the brakes put on.

Daughter is taking me there this weekendSide note, I feel like Minute Maid park or whatever it’s called now in Houston is underrated. That place was pretty cool.
There’s gotta be a way to repurpose it or something. Like what they did to the old Vets.I think so. It's been a while since I lived there, so haven't kept up with it. I believe some group got it a historical designation to keep it from being torn down.

Well, it has been used for a couple of movies (wasn’t the championship game in Friday Night Lights set there, or am I thinking of a different movie?) and at least one U2 music video that weirdly had a football game going on as part of the video. There’s gotta be a way to repurpose it or something.
