Shooting/lack of driving was bad but that makes it even more crucial that we take care of the ball. How many times did we get our pocket picked or throw it away 25'+ from the basket. That **** has to stop.

I've definitely got a bit of a "we are who we are" feeling at this point but we need to keep improving. It ain't gettin any easier.

The turnovers out top have been a problem for a long while but with ball in hand today ISU was just not very crisp and yeah they really need to be.

And if they try to they meet someone who is more athletic so they really can't create or draw.
Playing against someone more athletic than you doesn't preclude you from scoring. It requires that you know some techniques to offset the talent disparity. And frankly, it really didn't look to me like TCU was some kind of super-athletic juggernaut.

Let’s not get carried away. We had a really bad game today. Outside of that, we’ve played well at home and got screwed on the road at KU. I still see us finishing in the 4-7 range in Big 12 and should easily make the tourney

Well, there's the random loss at Hilton I was predicting when everyone thought we'd go 8-1 at home.

.500 isn't happening now unless they can pull off a win at Okie State this week. This team is NIT bound unless something changes we'll be lucky to get 3 or 4 more wins.
I just don’t think we can steal one on the road. 7-11 is a really tough and unlikely uphill battle now.

but it got him to the foul line a few times
Agree that's why you gotta keep driving and when he does go the the boards. Since we can't shoot we have to drive and push the ball up court and try to score before defenses are setup - for whatever reason we just won't do it at least on a consistent basis. Time to make changes to the starting lineup just to shake things up - maybe Gabe and George will embrace coming off the bench.

I pointed out the 5-26 from 3 against Tech on Tuesday and then we go 3-26 from 3 today. Where’s the blame it on the refs crowd today? Today was a repeat of Tuesday’s game with the same results.
I’m not trying to pile on our team- Otz is doing a terrific job. However, he needs to figure out how to fix our long-distance shooting.

we take way too many 3s....need to attack with this group

My 'way too soon' but venting over-reactions from the game:

1. The offense must CHANGE. Not tweaked....CHANGED!
2. Never thought I'd say this a month ago, but Jones is a better player now than Conditt.
3. Worst single game coaching job by a P5 coach: McCaffrey... lost to us by 20 allowing us to score in the 70's.
4. TJ's best coaching will have to come now...this team has always played/fought 'together' but drowning in this offense can frustrate/fray a team apart where they lose confidence in their coach and each other. I still have confidence TJ can get it accomplished.

That Missouri game is sneaky huge because With the strength of our conference we will have more leniency to have a poor record if we ran the table outside, especially with some solid wins .

When we used to move and cut on offense and move the ball….. Grill got open looks from 3 and was pretty decent. Lately he’s had to force guarded 3’s….. big difference.

A loss to Missouri would be catastrophic. It's one of those games that won't help us if we win but will destroy the seaosn if we lose because their metrics are so bad.
