Good game, we could have won with better shooting and less unforced errors. Should be a fun year.
We played our butts off and made Baylor do the same. That just have it rolling. Tough to beat that momentum.
I have much more confidence in a lineup of IB, Jackson, Grill, Kunc, and Enaruna going on a quick run. Hunter maybe for Jackson
Sohan for Baylor is an awesome freshman.
I disagree. Baylor's ability to hit crazy shots at the end of the shot clock and our inability to consistently hit open shots is the difference in the game. So actually yes scoring is the issue.
Sorry, that is just idiotic ******** - get over it, they gave their best in this game and are still sitting better than anyone thought they would be. It is going to be ok.
That fact this game is this close with our shooting and turnovers makes me feel good for the other games. Baylor is shooting out of their minds and most teams will not replicate this
They may have 3 NBA players on the floor - Brown, Akinjo and sohon.
Baylor is elite everywhere.
They’re freaking legit.
And so are we, just not top 10 legit and I think we can all agree on that.
Super proud of this team.
Remarkable we even had an outside chance.
No way around it, we need to have good fortune in shooting against elite teams. No shame in that. We had the opposite, in part because of Baylor, but Baylor had more to do with us not taking many.
It also would have helped had Baylor been off. They get full credit for being a team capable of hitting tough shots.
Had you told me Baylor would shoot 50% on the day and over 40% from three while we shot 7% from three I would have told you we lose by 20. The fact this was within 5 with under four to play tells me how good our team is and can be.
Except in integrity as a university.
I feel better about our team now than before the game - not claiming morale victory - but we can hang with anyone. Best game Baylor has gotten from anyone in a long time.
Re watch the game. Now that you know the outcome, only watch Gabe and then tell me he was good on defense today. He wasn’t. He was bad on both ends of the floor and cost this team. I’m not denying his effort. He gave 100%, but he was atrocious today. Hopefully he bounces back next game.
He’s a similar type of player as Kegan Murray but with more athleticism and upside.
Would love to catch him with a second round pick for my nba team next year.
I feel greedy that I thought we had a chance at this one, but deep down, I knew we were a ways away from a team like Baylor. There are no moral victories, but this isn't a bad loss.
