I just listened to REM Reckoning from first song to last on Christmas Day......What a monumental artistic classic! 1980's Bedrock bringing back glory days in Ames. An Album that pleased the Lord and it is meant to be listened to in one sitting.

Alas, like most troubadors and actresses, those who can describe and celebrate the human condition and matters of heart and soul start listening to their own press and then start to believe they know how to govern and set policy. Michael Stipe and Bruce Springsteen both then ruined their art for me.

AC/DC and GNR both have top 25 albums of all time, by the way (Back in Black and Appetite).
Eminem??? Come now. Eminem Sucks. Tell him I said so. I hope you weren't including him just to be diverse and fashionable. It's hard out here for a pimp.

Cheers on the Replacements. Love them. I think I may have fell down the stairs at cave inn to them.

Count Neil Young in with Michael Stipe comment; Love to hear him sing, hate to hear him talk.

Oh, this is rough. I'm going to try and go classic and universal in my selections, instead of choosing indie artists who many won't know:

Alternative: Beck or Cake
Rap: Beastie Boys (best overall), Kanye, or Jay-Z
Classic Rock: The Who, The Stones, or The Beatles (I was named after a Stones song)
Solo Male Singer: Bob Dylan, Colin Hay, David Bowie, Clapton, Michael Jackson (back in the day)
Solo Female Singer: Aimee Mann, Jenny Lewis, Billie Holiday
80's Band: REM (awesome over the years), Hall & Oates
Weird Band: Electric Six, They Might Be Giants, Moldy Peaches
Genre: let's go Doo-Wop
