This team has played 4 good halves of football this season. That’s it. Those gave us glimpses of what could have been. I really feel like this season has gone as bad as possible given the returning talent and experience on the roster. And we’ve had multiple games where the other team clearly wanted it more. CMC has brought amazing things to Ames but something about The Process needs to change if we’re ever taking the step to another level.

Something to play for is spoiler for OU and get a winning record.

The secondary has been suspect or bad all season and the tackling/pursuit has generally not been sharp.

Those things catch up.

They've been looking for another corner for years, but Datrone is still out there every Saturday. Gonna get even worse when Johnson is gone.

Any reason for not applying any pressure to that kick? Normally those long kicks are line drives and easier to a get a hand on.

Given how utterly unprepared this team is so often, I question that.

The results are certainly great by comparison, which is a laughably low bar, but my goodness, what the hell is wrong with their preparation?

The offensive line is still dog$hit.

For all the great things this staff has done they need take a hard look at how they both prepare to play in September and their game planning on a weekly basis. September has been a disaster and first halves have ranged from competent at best to hot garbage at worst.

Oh nvm. Keep crying and being babies. Is it a disappointing season? Yes. Was this a disappointing performance? Absolutely.

But these same guys (coaches and student athletes) we hoped would take us to new levels previously unthinkable have been foundational in establishing a new floor.

A floor where 7-8 wins feels like a let down.

So yeah. Be upset. Piss and moan. But keep some perspective. And put some respect on it when you talk on the Iowa State Cyclones.

Didn’t deserve to win this on. Last I saw we had about 40 yards rushing against one of the worst rushing defenses in the conference. Just maddening to watch an o line get blown up play after play. No #2 WR either. No explanation for the defense today. Crap performance but it is what it is. We were all hoping for better, but we just didn’t get it this year. Last year was fun and there have been some nice moments this year. Maybe there’s a little more magic left, but there’s no polishing this turd

We should be embarrassed. No refs to blame today. This team is consistently not prepared. Our OC’s strategy is bewildering. This is on the coaches plain and simple. Get the team up for every game.

Didn't anyone else notice most of the dude's kickoffs were going out of the end zone the whole game! Leg was not going to be the issue once they got the yardage they did. It was accuracy. But if the time was off the clock it wouldn't have mattered. Or maybe not have such huge cushions the last 60 seconds. Plus, it seemed like we should get the Breece guy more touches in the passing game.

honestly after Baylor I put us at 7-5, taking into consideration how our o line still looked bad and we have no other wr besides hutch and manning is still calling plays.
