ESPN+ unusable for me. I have 50mb internet and it won't buffer smoothly with a 2014 era Samsung 4k smart TV. I have to cast from the app on my phone and the graphics are trash doing that.

In the TV app I have to click on the event at least 5 times before it'll let me access the event. You can't select the event before it starts so I would miss the first 10 minutes plus of everything I wanted to watch.

Random events wouldn't come in at all. The Big 12 wrestling tournament for example wouldn't work at all. When I contacted customer service they told me that it was an issue they were aware of and didn't offer a solution or refund. I stream literally everything with 0 problems except for ESPN+. **** ESPN

I think you identified your own problem. A firestick or roku would solve your problem.

Sounds like a revamping of infrastructure to add high speed access to rural areas could be beneficial to you.

^ This. Didn't read through all of the thread but bandwidth is a pain for a lot of rural peeps. Good college buddy living in the country outside Roland just recently got enough bandwidth to stream via a new satellite setup. Prior he was DSL limited. Old dude like me but not a backward techy. He was frustrated by his lack of options for internet service, not his lack of how to or understanding.

LOL at articles here in the Twin Cities about rich city peeps moving out rural and building their million dollar plus dream home without even checking to see of they can get high speed. Than they be all crying about "Whar my fiber optic! I DEMAND someone run lines to my house!"

A builder in Bondurant (CW's town) had a whole development of houses built, but didn't plan any lines/infrastructure for internet.

To be fair, every home in America should have access to fiber/high speed internet. Whether it's support from State or Fed it needs to be better.

Yea, quite a few ISU hoops games were on ESPN+ last season. It looks like most Cyclone basketball non-con games are on ESPN+ this season. Also 6 Big12 games are on ESPN+. So probably time to resubscribe.

Welcome to the future- Apps like ESPN+, Peacock, Paramount+, Prime, etc. are the future of live sports.

With as bad as last season was (again) it's no wonder nobody saw an ESPN+ broadcast last Spring.

It's been pretty well documented that a large portion of those early generation "smart" TV's were garbage. Imagine $25 being the deal breaker....
$25 isn't the deal breaker, ESPN is. I shared my experience about ESPN+ being unusable on multiple devices. You're the one saying I'm putting off get off my lawn vibes by sharing that experience and telling me to buy a Roku lol.

To be fair, you aren't the only one putting out that vibe...

I've used ESPN+ on multiple platforms and I've never had a problem. I just find it funny how so many fans have this ESPN ax to grind. Yeah, i get that they have pulled some shady sh!t but guess what, they will most likely be involved in some shape or form our next TV deal.

I just get a hissing sound with this snowy picture when I try to turn on my TV. Any tips on how I can get ESPN+ working?

Fair enough. I'm insanely stubborn for someone in their 20's.

How many devices can ESPN+ be broadcast on and do they have to be on the same network?

True. I had the cyclones.tv last year and only listen to a couple of games via John and Eric, and never the whole game, Never once did I come back later to watch a re-play.

Oklahoma, instead of having a non-conference game on ESPN+, sells pay-per-view subscriptions ($40 I think) for one game per year. From the sounds of it, our fans would practically lose their **** if they had to pay that to watch one game.
Times, they might be a changin.

Would be interesting to know how many get this reference...
Haha agree :D
And how many would be better off dead than knowing.
I had to look it up. I'm so out of the loop!

The Big 12 was dead the day it formed....
