Not likely how this game is shaping up. Good feelings gone.
I’m not a fan of the new OT format. I thought the old college football OT rules were perfect. They’ve started a new rule where after so many (maybe two or three?) it just straight goes to two point conversations. So at worst, each overtime is only two total plays.
Wow, 9 overtime win for Illinois over Penn State. Longest game in history??
Love me some craft beer! The pandemic finally helped me really dive heavy into craft beer. Living in DC, I’m only two hours from, surprisingly, one of the best craft beer cities in the US, Richmond. I’ve been hoarding stout bottles and buying $20 four packs of hoppy beers nonstop over the last year and a half.@Thomasrickj you have inspired me. Time to start cracking open some craft beers
We will need 2 turnovers and points off each to win.Not likely how this game is shaping up. Good feelings gone.
Lazard never played with Purdy. This is how you beat our offense - athletic and physical man to man defense and maintain Kolar. Purdy looks like a pro when he can slice up a zone, but not so much man to man . Lazard and Butler covered this up initially with individual performance.
Right but rarely do I think CMC is completely out coached. Today…I’m thinking that. Need a stop and a soon to follow score or the 1st half will dictateGundy is good. He's got good players and scheme.
No way we get one turnover, let alone two.We will need 2 turnovers and points off each to win.
I didn't want to make it sound that bad.Maybe
Maybe more. It may have been a 14 point drop by Sean Stonehands Shaw.
Its not that we cant run the ball, its WHY we cant run the ball. OSU has a stout line and we often only have our 5 down linemen as true blockers. Manning is compounding it by calling an inordinate number of plays in bunch like formations, allowing OSU to have a large number of players close to the box at the line, making it easy for them to defend the run.
They’ve doubled Hutchinson too on critical downsOSU knows us too well. Stop Hall. Double Kolar in key situations. Knowing that our defense plays soft at the end of the half. They have scouted us well. Looking forward to our halftime adjustment. Keep the faith. Go Clones.
Almost had 1 on that fumbled punt.No way we get one turnover, let alone two.
True. Three OT's, each team a posession at the 25 I believe. Takes awhile. But then 6 extra OT's, basically 1 play each team. Crazy. They’ve started a new rule where after so many (maybe two or three?) it just straight goes to two point conversations. So at worst, each overtime is only two total plays.
Sean Shaw Jr...that dropped pass man...
Nothing went right after that dropped pass. Got to be better.
That’s not so much on Brock. WR have to get separation and make plays. How many deep jump balls has Brock thrown that have been picked? Whereas OSU threw it up between our two best safeties and scored. We need more playmaker on the outside. This is how you beat our offense - athletic and physical man to man defense and maintain Kolar. Purdy looks like a pro when he can slice up a zone, but not so much man to man . Lazard and Butler covered this up initially with individual performance. Hope they figure it out in the 2nd half.
