They’ve started a new rule where after so many (maybe two or three?) it just straight goes to two point conversations. So at worst, each overtime is only two total plays.
I’m not a fan of the new OT format. I thought the old college football OT rules were perfect.

@Thomasrickj you have inspired me. Time to start cracking open some craft beers
Love me some craft beer! The pandemic finally helped me really dive heavy into craft beer. Living in DC, I’m only two hours from, surprisingly, one of the best craft beer cities in the US, Richmond. I’ve been hoarding stout bottles and buying $20 four packs of hoppy beers nonstop over the last year and a half.

This is how you beat our offense - athletic and physical man to man defense and maintain Kolar. Purdy looks like a pro when he can slice up a zone, but not so much man to man . Lazard and Butler covered this up initially with individual performance. Hope they figure it out in the 2nd half.

Lazard never played with Purdy.

Gundy is good. He's got good players and scheme.
Right but rarely do I think CMC is completely out coached. Today…I’m thinking that. Need a stop and a soon to follow score or the 1st half will dictate

Its not that we cant run the ball, its WHY we cant run the ball. OSU has a stout line and we often only have our 5 down linemen as true blockers. Manning is compounding it by calling an inordinate number of plays in bunch like formations, allowing OSU to have a large number of players close to the box at the line, making it easy for them to defend the run.

OSU knows ISU doesn't have a legit threat and OSU's going to crowd the line regardless of formation.

OSU knows us too well. Stop Hall. Double Kolar in key situations. Knowing that our defense plays soft at the end of the half. They have scouted us well. Looking forward to our halftime adjustment. Keep the faith. Go Clones.
They’ve doubled Hutchinson too on critical downs

True. Three OT's, each team a posession at the 25 I believe. Takes awhile. But then 6 extra OT's, basically 1 play each team. Crazy.

Sean Shaw Jr...that dropped pass man...
Nothing went right after that dropped pass. Got to be better.

Shaw needs to reel in that pass, but I think some of the blame is also on Purdy. He put a little more heat on it than was needed given how open and close Shaw was. Put a little touch on the ball and lead the receiver.

That’s not so much on Brock. WR have to get separation and make plays. How many deep jump balls has Brock thrown that have been picked? Whereas OSU threw it up between our two best safeties and scored. We need more playmaker on the outside.
