Much bigger impact on the season is Baylor. It's not even close. I know people think ISU and Iowa fans are just deflecting when they say it isn't one of the most important games on the schedule, but it really isn't. If I had to choose between beating Iowa or Baylor I would choose Baylor in a heartbeat. It has a HUGE impact on the conference race.

baylor loss stings

baylor will end up with 3 losses in big 12 play. theyre good, not great. the first half of that game could have ruined our big 12 chances although we control our own destiny still by winning out.

The iowa loss sucks primarily because its happened again and again and again, with largely the same formula failing for the same reasons every time

The baylor loss, if talking about games by themselves, sucks more. We should have won that game, if not for piss poor special teams. Plus its a conference game, and that matters more.

Way up there
Had we won out after Iowa, we would be rated right higher or close to what they are now. Almost everything was still on the table and in our control (even cfp). The Baylor loss didn't ruin everything but it really lowered the ceiling on the season.

Baylor. ISU is better than both Baylor and the Hoks. The Baylor one hurts more for the race to the Big 12 title.

Baylor because it actually matters.

I mean, both matter if you want to reach the ceiling, but Baylor was much more significant.

The Iowa loss stings the ego more, but the Baylor loss was an unforeseen impact on our chances to get back to Dallas, killing our margin for error right from the start. That's a lot more annoying in the long run.

Iowa. Same September problems, even for an important game, and you can see how much wind it took out of the sails for fans this season.
Just look how small football threads here are compared to the weeks leading up to the season. That thing had a quieting effect that Baylor didn't.
