Open to the public is a bold choice.

boy do folks from the existing paradigm get squirmy went you start talking exiting the system and forming a brand new system not compatible with the old one, competition is bad for business

The more you stick around the more I am all for making our own wild west leageu where we pay every player in our own crypto coin. Even do incentives. Touchdown pass? 100 Wild West Coins. Interception? 20 WIld West Coins? Win the game 1000 coins.

There is absolutely no way Texas and Oklahoma plan on waiting until 2025.

I think everyone knows that (including the 8 other schools) and so we are just all getting in position for how big the buyout checks will be from UT/OU/SEC to these eight universities.

Put yourself in the PAC 12 or Big 10 shoes. Is there any value in adding other members of the Big 12 conference? Remember it's all about $$$. Does the conference make more $$$ by adding any of these schools? Is ISU a good investment.

More mouths at the table, but the same (or minimum) increase to the pie doesn't make sense.

Is ISU a good investment to the AAC, MWC, or reformed Big 12. I'd say yes. In the eye's of the Big 10 or PAC 12? The answer isn't as clear cut. Those conference will have to make that determination

yep and take that money and invest in the future, leave the sandbox and create a new one, so many G5 and FCS schools would love the opportunity
