Or did his job...wink wink. I find it hard that he had no idea if true. The BIG 12 office is in Dallas/Irving...in the middle of Austin and Norman.
Big12 administration has know for 6-months. Did someone forget to give the memo to Bobby....

I didn’t interpret the quote that way - I understood it as after all this came to light, we have learned that this process has been going on for 6 months, validating the whole thing as legit and not just something on a whim.

This is now a arms race between the SEC and Big10. It’s all about getting as many of the current blue bloods as possible.

College football is over as we know it and if I’m the SEC I make 4 more phone calls to OSU, Michigan, ND and Pedo. That would destroy your only conference competition and put the big10 in the same boat as the Big 12.
After that you pick up USC, Washington, Oregon and UCLA. You kick out the Vandy, Mizzery, Mississippi States for more blue blood room. End of story. The left overs will be the likes of Wisconsin, Iowa State’s of the world which will have scraps from TV rights.

I have yet to see a report where the Big 12 admin has known about this during all this time. If Texas and OU are leaving, the Big 12 admin would want to let other schools know so they can keep their own jobs. If Texas and OU leave, that is very much the end of the Big 12, and the employees of the Big 12 administrative offices.

The SEC probably doesn't need even need those PAC schools at that point.

Not even close. Hell that conference would be better than the big10 west ans would be roughly on par with the pac12.

Cant’t compare it to half a conference lol and no not on par with the PAC 12. Doesn’t matter what teams have done recently when it comes down to NOBODY would pay up for a TV contract for it.

Only good thing is we are in a better spot than the last time this happened. I would be fine with Pac 12 and Big 10. I like that we could go to Arizona State games and get some new blood on the schedule. That is about all I like about this. College sports are now semi pro and I hope we can semi keep up with the arms race. I see about 10 teams in the future who will be able to compete with a few exceptions every year.
